General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, March 30 Recap – Cyrus Stops Peter’s Risky Plan – Valentin Recruited for Gladys Mission

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 30, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had a strategy session about how to help Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Carly was a bit concerned since she felt Anna wanted to help Jason as a nice gesture, but scoring his freedom meant everything to Carly.

Anna argued that her main concern was making sure Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was brought to justice since it would protect Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) at the baby. However, clearing Jason would lead to sinking Peter, so Anna felt they were working toward the same goal.

Carly and Anna discussed Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) being the secret witness and being paid by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Although Carly insisted that Gladys could be bought, she’d probably just go to Cyrus again for a counteroffer.

Gladys could wind up dead by Peter or Cyrus, which wouldn’t work out well for Jason since he needs her to recant.

Anna and Carly needed another tactic, so they settled on the idea that Gladys valued prestige almost as much as money. Gladys wanted respect and felt she was owed the finer things, so Anna soon summoned Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to help with their new plan.

The goal was to win Gladys’ trust and get her to implicate Peter in Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.

At the PCPD, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wouldn’t budge on accepting Cyrus’ deal. Cyrus tried to throw around threats and warn Jason how bad it’d be if he didn’t attend the five-families meeting.

Nevertheless, Jason argued that Cyrus wouldn’t need to buy a Mother’s Day card this year!

On Tuesday’s General Hospital episode, Jason refused to trade his own freedom for Florence Grey (Annie Abbott). In the end, Cyrus suggested that Jason had blown his only chance.

At the Metro Court, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was surprised that Gladys could afford a place like that, but she insisted she’d just put it on her room tab. Brando warned Gladys about the dangers of being getting tangled up in Cyrus’ world.

Brando knew Gladys was the one to spill the news about Dev Corbin aka Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) being in the country illegally. Now Gladys is back at it with the eyewitness drama, so Brando remained concerned.

Meanwhile, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) fumed over the suspicions that were still swirling around him. He felt like having Jason locked up should’ve taken care of it and concluded the eyewitness might’ve spilled to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).

Peter approached Gladys’ table and thought they’d met before. Gladys thought he had one of those faces you don’t forget! She recognized Peter as the man who ran The Invader and mentioned her connection to Cyrus.

Strictly off the record, Gladys ended up admitting she was the one who saw the whole thing that night.

Since Gladys was such a big fan of The Invader, Peter suggested she should come forward for a front-page story. Cyrus arrived to insist that was a potentially catastrophic idea and shut it right down.

In a moment alone, Cyrus assured Peter that everything would be taken care of as long as Peter kept his end of the bargain. Cyrus felt it was crucial to work together to keep Jason locked up indefinitely.

Back with Jason on Tuesday’s GH episode, he got a visit in prison from Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Michael knew Jason didn’t kill Franco and felt it was his responsibility to step up for the Corinthos family now. Michael felt it was the only way, but Jason argued that Michael was wrong.

At Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) nightclub, he got some kind words of gratitude from Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about how supportive he was with Cameron Webber (William Lipton).

Laura reflected on Cyrus blowing up her mini birthday bash with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), though she knew she was rushing into that relationship without really knowing Martin.

Laura wasn’t going to write her brother off; she just wanted to proceed carefully. She also didn’t think Curtis should rush away from his connection with Jordan.

At Jordan’s place, she helped Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) get settled in and eventually offered Cyrus’ PCPD file. Jordan and Taggert were hopeful about taking Cyrus down the right way. When Curtis showed up, his eyes immediately went to Taggert in Jordan’s loft.

In court, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) refused to listen to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) attempts to change her mind. Alexis was adamant about entering a guilty plea – and Valentin thought it was a good thing if it helped Alexis conquer her inner demons.

Sam pulled Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) aside for a moment and made sure he was doing OK after the drama related to his triggers. Afterward, it was time for Alexis to face the music. Diane intended to fight for Alexis whether she wanted her to or not.

We’ll bring you updates as other GH details emerge. General Hospital spoilers say Alexis has a rough road ahead of her, so stay tuned! CDL will have all the sizzling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates you’re looking for, so pop back in often.
