General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, October 19 Recap – Drew’s Death Faked – Joins Peter in Getaway Car

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 19, reveals that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) death was faked with the help of a bulletproof vest – and he soon joined Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in the getaway car. Here’s how all the GH drama played out.

On the island of Crete, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was fading fast and losing a lot of blood after taking Peter’s bullet.

Valentin insisted Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) still needed rescuing, but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) stayed by his side and encouraged him to talk about his daughters to stay awake.

After Valentin realized this could end in his death, he delivered a heartfelt plea.

Valentin wanted Anna to break the tough news to Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and tell “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) about him since she wouldn’t even remember.

Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) forced Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) to help them search the compound.

Sam and Dante were annoyed when Victor took them to Liesl’s cell first, but Victor argued she was in far more danger.

Dante found a syringe on the floor of Obrecht’s empty cell and suggested that unless she needed medical attention, she didn’t leave of her own free will. Sam wound up wandering off alone briefly, which earned her a mild scolding from Dante.

However, they all landed in Drew’s cell, where Victor explained that Drew had no choice but to go with Peter.

Victor elaborated on the second layer of conditioning, but Sam insisted Drew wasn’t too far gone since “Scout” was written on the wall. It gave Sam hope since Drew was still thinking of their daughter.

Dante started to lock Victor up and send a babysitter, but Victor convinced them that he could help navigate the compound.

Over at the taverna, Anna pushed Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) to go easy on the WSB agent who let Dante and Sam slip away. Soon after, Sam and Dante came back with handcuffed Victor in tow.

Victor sought updates on Valentin and was distraught to learn he’d been shot.

At that point, Valentin had been airlifted to the U.S. Consulate so that he could be rushed to surgery.

Victor filled everyone in on how he was Valentin’s father, but Anna didn’t care what his connection was. She still intended to hold Victor responsible if Valentin died.

Sam also found out about Drew taking three bullets before plunging into the water below and disappearing.

Sam became emotional over Drew being presumed dead once again, but Dante did his best to comfort her since there was no body and Drew had already proven hard to kill.

Victor wanted his freedom, but Anna insisted he was going to stay and answer questions.

Robert made a point to mention that when it comes to the Cassadines, it’s always personal for him.

Back in Port Charles, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) suggested a toast as he continued his night with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

Curtis declared “may the past stay in the past” – and Portia said amen to that!

At a table nearby, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) pulled out the wedding ring set that Ava had thrown at him previously. He asked with all his heart if Ava would put them back on, so she was glad to do it.

Ava and Nikolas exchanged some new vows before Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) invited herself to join them.

While Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) stayed close just in case, Britt pumped Nikolas for information on the Cassadines and their Crete connections. She eventually pushed to speak with Nikolas alone, so Ava joined Portia by the bar.

Britt suggested she could help Nikolas get through to Spencer in return for his help finding Liesl. Nikolas suggested Britt could visit Spencer if she wanted, but he acted like he didn’t have useful info to offer since his family sold their holdings.

However, Nikolas did reveal there was an old retreat that was built before he was born and later turned into a monastery.

Britt wanted to know how she could get to it, but Nikolas insisted it was in the middle of nowhere – just a tiny village with a taverna and then nothing. Nikolas eventually called a bartender to see what he could find out.

Anna also called Britt with the latest news from Crete, so she soon relayed that same news to Jason. He was shocked to learn Drew had been held captive and was now presumed dead all over again.

Jason then learned Peter and Drew had vanished, so he told Britt they needed to go to Greece.Britt seemed taken aback by Jason’s willingness to do that and said she was game if he was.

Over with Portia, she informed Ava that she didn’t approve of Spencer’s arrest.

That said, Portia didn’t want Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) to have anything to do with the Cassadine men.

Next, the mystery man spoke to one of Curtis’ employees about the benefits of live musical acts and seemed curious about their bookings. He was impressed with the way Curtis ran the place, but he took off before Curtis could talk to him.

In Greece, Drew checked unconscious Liesl’s pulse and made sure she was all packed up in the back of the vehicle. Drew then removed his bulletproof vest as Peter asked if he was good.

“Between the bullet hits and the fall, they have to think you’re dead,” Peter said confidently. Drew then joined Peter in the passenger seat so they could get moving.

General Hospital spoilers say Peter will remain in the driver’s seat in more ways than one, so stay tuned!
