General Hospital Spoilers Update: Friday, August 13 – Sam & Dante Sparks Fly - Shawn’s Dangerous Decision – Jason & Jax Showdown

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 13, teases that Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will make the dangerous decision to keep digging while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) have a showdown. We’ll also see Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) sparks fly, so here’s what GH fans can expect.

In Nixon Falls, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will encourage Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to let her walls down and make some real plans – long-term ones that’d allow them to focus on a future as a couple.

It’s obvious “Mike” would like for this romance to keep blooming, so he’ll work on Nina and make some progress with her on Friday.

At Wyndemere, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will help Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) gear up for the rager that Spencer’s so pumped for.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) are on the guest list as well, so Spencer will be thrilled to have the whole gang there for some troublemaking.

However, Spencer has no idea what’s in store for him since Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) intends to give his son a taste of his own medicine.

While Nikolas schemes and prepares for his grand entrance, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) will give Shawn some good advice.

Shawn really doesn’t need to be so close to crimes and other risky behavior that could land him in hot water.

Now that Shawn’s out of Pentonville, he has a chance to start fresh and strengthen his bond with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).

Jordan will think Shawn should worry about the future rather than the past, but Shawn will be stuck on the shooter whodunit.

Shawn will also want answers about Naomi Dreyfus’ (Gigi Bermingham) death and why someone doesn’t want Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) found.

Shawn will appreciate Jordan looking out for him, but this is just something he has to do.

Sam will also be grateful when Dante offers updates on the deadly Naomi investigation and any new leads.

Dante and Sam have been trying to deny their romantic attraction to each other, but they’ll finally cave in and have a drink together soon. Sam and Dante will head to the Metro Court pool, where they’ll have a nightcap as they flirt.

Look for Sam’s phone to get a call from an unknown number – and it’ll be Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) who’s on the other end in Monday’s episode.

In the meantime, there’ll be much more Friday the 13th drama. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is facing a ghost – at least in a way. Sonny isn’t really dead, but Carly doesn’t know that and has been visualizing Sonny at certain tough moments throughout this storyline.

Since this Sonny vision hasn’t come to her lately, Carly will admit she was afraid it was because of her engagement. Part of Carly feels like she’s betraying Sonny, but this fantasy version of the character should offer reassurance.

Carly and Jason are doing this for the sake of protecting the family, so dream Sonny should understand why.

Unfortunately, Jax doesn’t agree with Carly’s decision to stay so caught up in the mob.

Jax blames Jason for at least some of the danger and will think the “Jarly” marriage is just making this worse. He’ll feel like Jason needs to end the engagement and find a better form of protection.

As Jax rages about the threat to Josslyn, Jason will defend his actions as well as Carly’s. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may wind up wading into the middle of the conflict, so we’ll see if she can settle things down.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly’s marriage will move forward soon, so don’t miss the quick wedding plans that are coming.
