General Hospital Spoilers Update: Monday, February 8 – Peter Caught - Ava & Nina Decide Sonny’s Fate – No Escape From Nelle

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, February 8, teases that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will keep trying to pry answers out of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Anna feels like Britt must know where Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is, but Britt will put up a fight on revealing anything.

After Anna points out that Britt changed her mind about Peter August (Wes Ramsey), she’ll suspect Liesl is the reason why. Britt promised Liesl she’d keep her mouth shut, but it looks like Britt may end up making an admission to Anna on Monday.

Although Britt may not reveal where Liesl’s staying, she could at least confess that she’s indeed been in touch with her mom and is on her side.

Britt may argue that she’s opened her eyes to Peter’s twisted ways and urge Anna to do the same.

Anna’s getting there now that she knows Peter’s been keeping secrets about his link to Drew Cain (Billy Miller) when Drew was in the military.

Although Anna doesn’t want to go down this dark road, she knows that she must – no matter what she might find at the end of it.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) didn’t tell Anna the extent of what he knows about Peter’s history.

Instead, Valentin tracked Peter down and is trying to make a few more connections. General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will suggest he has his theories, but those won’t be enough.

Since Valentin has been in Peter’s corner along the way, he’ll want Peter to tell him the full story regarding his sinister secrets. GH buzz os that it won’t be long before Peter is caught.

By Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) grave, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will remember the good times as well as the bad.

The Corinthos family has dealt with more than their fair share of grief in recent years.

Talk will also turn to the news that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter.

Joss will likely reflect on how Jasper “Jax’ Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) decision to keep the secret is coming back to bite him. Now Nina’s turned against Jax and feels like Carly is his priority.

Josslyn won’t like how Nelle’s name is coming up again and again for her family. It’ll seem like there’s no escape from Nelle, even in death. Carly may hope this is the end of the road since Nina knows the truth and is processing it.

However, Carly’s nightmare is far from over since Nina doesn’t know about the cliff cover-up yet.

At Crimson, Nina will ask the man on the other end of the phone to repeat his name. Of course, GH fans know that man is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who just answered the phone at The Tan-O and called himself “Mike.”

Nina has heard Sonny’s voice enough to recognize it, but she believes he’s dead along with the rest of Port Charles. It may feel like Nina’s mind is playing tricks on her at first.

Nina will undoubtedly admit she was looking for Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy), so Sonny should hand her the phone. Once Phyllis takes it, Nina may quiz her about the new bartender. Phyllis could easily mention that “Mike” showed up at the hospital without a clue who he was.

If Phyllis mentions some hints like Sonny’s river ride and the timing of when he showed up, Nina could start putting all this together. She might realize that amnesiac Sonny is working at Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) bar without knowing who he really is.

At some point, Phyllis is surely going to wonder why Nina got in touch. That should give Nina a chance to share the reason for her call, which is to reveal that the daughter hunt is over.

Phyllis should be sorry to hear that Nelle is already dead since Nina will never have a chance to reconnect with her – that is unless GH decides to bring her back through some soapy explanation.

Regardless, Nina surely won’t be able to get “Mike” off her mind once she hangs up. She’ll hopefully wonder if it really could be Sonny alive and well. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will do some arguing on Monday, so she might spar with Nina on this Sonny issue.

Ava certainly has a motive to let sleeping Sonnys lie! She won’t want Sonny coming back in the picture to take Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) away from her again.

General Hospital spoilers say Ava will open up about her perspective on Monday. This could mean revealing to Nina how hard Carly fought to make sure she never found out about Nelle’s half-heart pendant half.

Carly resorted to carrying out a scheme at Wyndemere before she got caught. Ava might also remind Nina of where Avery found the pendant, so this could connect some dots for Nina. From where Ava’s standing, it might add up to Nelle’s murder!

Ava might do her best to rile Nina up and turn her against Carly even more on Monday. There’s also the matter of Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) to consider.

Ava might point out that when Sonny was around, he made it so she barely got to see Avery at all. Ava may wonder why Nina thinks it’d be any different for her as a grandma to Wiley.

It seems Nina will still have reservations about keeping her mouth shut regarding “Mike” and his whereabouts. If Nina truly believes that’s Sonny, she’ll feel like it’s wrong to keep him from his loved ones.

“Have you not heard a word I’ve said?” Ava asks in Monday’s GH preview video. It sounds like Ava will be adamant that this secret simply must stay under wraps.

Look for Nina to have doubts about her initial decision on Tuesday. Ava’s words may finally sink in and convince Nina that coming clean is the wrong call. Carly refused to tell Nina about her daughter, so Nina may get payback by withholding info about Carly’s husband.

Other General Hospital spoilers say an apology is headed Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) way, but it may be a half-hearted one. Liz will seem suspicious of the person who offers it on Monday.

As for Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), he’ll surprise Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Franco will make an admission about something he’s done – seemingly something that Finn would’ve advised against.

GH fans know Franco had a heated argument with Peter, which got physical in The Invader office.

Since Peter wants Franco to look like a threat, it’d probably be best to avoid scenes like that in the future! We’ll bring you updates as other hot news becomes available.
