General Hospital Spoilers Update: Thursday, February 4 – Finn’s Paternity Test – Britt’s Surprise - Jax Underestimates Nina

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, February 4, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will do her best to keep the rest of the Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) story under wraps.

Right now, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) only knows Nelle is her biological daughter. Nina isn’t in the loop on the cliff fall cover-up – and Carly would like to keep it that way!

Carly will warn Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) about how critical it is to keep Nina out of the loop. If Nina puts the rest of the puzzle pieces together, she could start hurling murder accusations. Carly only hesitated a moment before trying to help Nelle that night, but Nelle’s hand still slipped through Carly’s grasp.

Jax convinced Carly it’d be best to lie to the cops, so Carly’s bound to get tripped up eventually. For now, Jax won’t be worried – especially when it comes to Nina going after Carly. He’ll believe Nina’s an ally who has no intention of causing drama, but he’ll be proven wrong down the road!

In the meantime, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will push past the Peter August (Wes Ramsey) doubts she’s starting to battle. Nina’s cemetery arrival will put Maxie back on defense when it comes to Peter.

It looks like Nina will express some Peter doubts of her own, but Maxie will get fed up over all the naysayers in town.

Maxie will flip her lid as she rants about wanting acceptance. She’ll feel like she’s the only person who’s really willing to give Peter another shot and see another side of him. Nina may suggest she gets that – now more than ever since she just found out Nelle is her biological child.

Once Nina drops that bomb, she may explain the guilt she’s dealing with. Nelle felt like Nina was her last hope and counted on her help. Nina ultimately decided not to throw Nelle under the bus in court and sided with the Corinthos clan.

That’s a decision that may haunt Nina forever now, so she should understand Maxie’s perspective and agree that second chances are important.

Maxie will comfort Nina over her daughter devastation, and they’ll comfort each other over missing Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). It’s clear that both Nina and Maxie could use Nathan’s guidance right about now.

The same goes for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) since she’s got a lot on her plate, including a mysterious medical issue she hasn’t revealed yet.

It appears Britt will surprise Maxie and Nina by Nathan’s grave, so there’ll be plenty of support going on by the end of the episode. Until then, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will get into an argument with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) at the Metro Court.

Scott will hurl some insults in Jason’s direction along with a threat or two.

Although Scott will mostly be blowing off steam, Jason will snarl about how he won’t forget what Scott said. Scott cares about Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and doesn’t want to see him get hurt, but he’d be better off proceeding with caution here! Jason isn’t a man you want to have on your bad side.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will bring Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) up to speed on her Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) findings.

Valentin should be surprised about Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) apparent release as well. After Anna provides updates on the latest Dante details, Valentin should remain on edge over the threat Dante poses.

GH spoilers state that Dante will have a new goal in Thursday’s episode – and he’ll use Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) as he works to pull it off. Dante will be anxious to be a free man again.

Dante wants out of that hospital bed, so he’ll hope the rules can be bent a little. It’s too soon for Dante to be discharged, but he’ll wonder if Liz can help him out.

Elizabeth won’t allow Dante back on the streets if his condition could be at stake. Nevertheless, Liz should see what she can do if it’s safe. Since Dante saved Franco from Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) loaded syringe, Elizabeth can at least look into getting Dante released a tad early.

Over with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), he’ll ponder what a paternity test would accomplish. Finn was eager to move forward with a DNA test not too long ago, but he’ll waver on that plan this Thursday, February 4. Part of Finn will feel like it wouldn’t change anything, so why bother?

The problem is Finn will always have to wonder if he doesn’t get that paternity test. Somewhere deep inside, Finn will just want to know for sure if Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is his brother or his son.

There’ll be a moment where Chase embraces Finn enthusiastically on Thursday, so that could strengthen Finn’s desire to take the paternity test route.

Whatever the case, this is one messy family! Chase will get in the boxing ring with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and talk about Gregory’s fractured bond with Finn. Since that bond seems to be healing somewhat, Chase will express hope for the future.

Finn, Chase and Gregory will all get some time to connect as a family on Thursday. Since Finn will be at the boxing gym sweating it out with the guys, this might be a good opportunity. Finn might be able swipe some DNA samples if he indeed wants to do this paternity test.

Finally, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) will enjoy a reunion with Scott. General Hospital spoilers say Scott may admit some of his family issues, so Jackie could confess she’s got those, too. Jackie and Scott will have a chance to lean on each other, even if they keep the details to themselves.
