General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, May 20, teases that Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will stand up to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) while Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) carries out a dangerous plan. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will also force Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) choice, so let’s talk about that first.
At home, Carly will urge Gladys to accept how serious this situation is. She’ll reiterate that both Gladys and Brando could be at risk of death. Carly will think she can help Gladys resolve her Cyrus problem, but Gladys’ stubbornness could get in the way of striking a deal.
Over with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), she’ll show no fear as she spars with Cyrus. Confidence will be key as far as Sasha’s concerned, but she should be terrified for Brando and even her baby deep down.
Cyrus is bad news and could pose a major threat, but Sasha will stand up to him anyway.
When Cyrus verbally attacks Sasha, Brando will rush to her defense. That could raise some red flags if Brando isn’t careful, but he’ll manage to throw Cyrus off the “baby daddy” trail for now. Cyrus will remain in the dark on who the father of Sasha’s unborn child is – but not for long!
Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will help Cyrus put the puzzle pieces together in the week ahead, but Brando and Sasha will scheme against Cyrus in the meantime.
Next, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will gripe over Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) sabotaging his investigation. He won’t be happy about Sam trying to get to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) before him.
Sam was even willing to give Dante some flat tires, so he’ll put her on full blast this Thursday. However, Sam will fire back and rant about Jason’s innocence. She won’t think Dante’s being reasonable, but he’ll suggest Sam’s the unreasonable one.
Dante will refuse to jeopardize his first case back at the PCPD by giving Jason a pass or looking the other way. He’ll still fully intend to track Jason down, so Dante and Sam’s friendship will take another hit as they continue to feud.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will feel like she’s been a bit selfish. Alexis has been caught up in helping other inmates – including Maggie (Sydney Walsh) – but her motives aren’t entirely about benefiting others.
The truth is Alexis is getting a lot out of this as well since it’s giving her something to do and allowing her to feel useful at Pentonville.
Alexis plans to help Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) score his freedom as well, so that’ll come as a shock to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) once he stops by to see Shawn and gets the scoop.
Over with Nikolas Cassadine, he’ll find out that he’s officially on Cyrus’ list of enemies. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will explain the latest round of tension with Cyrus, which ended on an ominous note.
Cyrus gave Laura the chance to be his sister, but she refused to take it. Now Cyrus is ready to consider Laura and her children his foes instead of family! That especially goes for Nikolas since he’s making this Pentonville powerplay.
Laura will quiz Nikolas about that on Thursday’s episode and try to find out if there’s more to his agenda than just offering Alexis protection.
GH spoilers suggest Nikolas indeed has other reasons for trying to snatch up the prison and turn it into a private operation. Once Nikolas explains his plot, Laura should decide it’s worth the risk.
Maybe this could be Nikolas’ chance to set up Cyrus’ downfall or at least try to.
Naturally, Cyrus always has a few tricks up his sleeve, so Nikolas and Laura will have to be careful. The same goes for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who should back Nikolas up despite her growing concerns for his safety.
It looks like Nikolas and Cyrus are about to make some risky moves, so stay tuned for the hot drama ahead. CDL will have other sizzling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news for you, so pop back in soon.
