General Hospital Spoilers Update: Wednesday, January 6 – Dante’s Mystery – Carly & Jason’s New Threat – Obrecht’s Tight Spot

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, January 6, teases that Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) will decline to carry out Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) orders. Cyrus will undoubtedly be hoping Jordan can use her power as police commissioner to get his mother back.

Perhaps Cyrus will call for some arrests to be made since he’ll remain so riled up about Florence Grey’s (Annie Abbott) kidnapping.

Cyrus will be looking for any strategy he can use to force Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to reveal Florence’s location. Of course, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is really running the show here, but Jason’s doing his best to shield her from the drama she’s created.

As for Jordan, she’ll basically shrug and let Cyrus know this is out of her hands. Jordan may argue that there’s no proof against Jason or Carly. There’s no trail for Jordan to follow either, so she’ll basically suggest Cyrus is on his own.

Cyrus will lash out over Jordan refusing to help him, but Jordan may think it’s high time they ended this forced partnership. Although Cyrus will surely threaten Jordan’s loved ones again, Jordan may feel like she has to draw the line and take her chances.

Other GH spoilers say Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will catch Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) off guard. Valentin’s discussion with Martin will take a tense turn, so Martin will decide he’s leaving. That’ll prompt Valentin to bark at Martin to stay.

Valentin will make it clear that Martin isn’t leaving until he says so, but this will actually be a productive conversation.

It turns out Valentin will be willing to assist Martin, so he’ll make his lawyer a promise. Valentin may think he can help Martin retrieve Florence, but you can bet Valentin will land right in the middle of the Cyrus and Corinthos clan war if he does! Valentin could emerge as a surprising new threat to Carly and Jason.

In the meantime, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will seem deep in thought as he looks in a hospital room. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will imply that they’ve done all they can do. She’ll think it’s out of their hands at this point, but what’ll be going on here?

It seems this has something to do with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), who’s apparently pretending to be in a vegetative state as he plots his next move. Ryan might stage some sort of setback as part of that plan and leave Kevin uneasy.

Kevin will get in touch with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who’ll be with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) when she’s contacted. Laura will note that Kevin’s summoning them all to GH, so they’ll arrive to find out some troubling updates on Ryan.

No matter what state Ryan’s in, he should be transferred elsewhere soon. From here, Ryan can wait for the ideal moment for his getaway. It doesn’t look like Ryan will be a free man anytime soon, but General Hospital is laying the groundwork to revisit an escape story later.

Until then, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will feel like the luckiest man alive. This groom is overjoyed to be marrying Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and planning their family together.

As Peter looks forward to celebrating his wedding to Maxie and the impending birth of their child, he’ll suggest everything has been worth it. Peter doesn’t mind all the doubters and obstacles since he’s won the ultimate prize.

However, Peter’s in for a rude awakening once his secrets come to light. Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) still poses a serious threat to Peter through the voice he’s hearing in his head. Over time, Franco may be able to really focus on what Peter’s saying and make sense of it.

For now, Franco will feel a bit lost as he confides in Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). There’ll be something Franco really doesn’t know what to do about, so Liz will want to help. Unfortunately, Elizabeth can’t make Peter’s voice go away. All Liz can do is keep supporting Franco as he tries to cope.

Franco may not fill Liz in on this part, but he should also be fearful about Jason’s threat. After Franco found out his tumor was back, he worried he’d turn into his old dangerous self. Franco made a deal with Jason, who intends to kill Franco if his sinister side indeed makes a comeback.

Of course, Franco seems doubtful that the darkness will return now, but Jason’s always going to be wary. It seems like Franco may fret over Jason pulling the trigger prematurely or overreacting somehow. There’ll be a lot for Franco to dwell on as this hot plot moves along.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will grill the disguised doctor she’s just asked for help. Anna’s hoping to find Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but she’s found Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) instead. Anna just doesn’t know it’s Liesl – and Liesl would like to keep it that way!

Obrecht might only say a word or two and try to turn her face away as much as possible. She’ll do whatever she can to prevent Anna from solving the puzzle, but Anna will get the sense that she should know this doctor.

Even if Anna doesn’t quite put all the pieces together, she should end up thinking about this encounter later.

Once Anna finally tracks Dante down, she’ll want to know about his experience at the WSB facility in Geneva. Anna will pump Dante for information on his treatment program and how Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones) handled it.

Now that Dante’s back in Port Charles, Anna may also wonder who’s helping him with the adjustment to his old life.

Dr. Kirk used to be Dante’s handler before his untimely death – a death that Anna seemed very suspicious about. Now Liesl is working with Dante, but he may be cagey about that part in his chat with Anna.

As for Dr. Kirk’s demise and any lingering plans he might’ve had, that may be why Dante suggests they’ll “never find out.”

Nevertheless, General Hospital spoilers say Anna will keep poking around and could learn too much if she’s not careful. Liesl will stop at nothing to make sure Peter pays, so Anna had better not get in Obrecht’s way. We’ll provide more details as other GH news pops up.
