General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of July 5-9 teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will want Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to suck it up – and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will find a surprise supporter. Meanwhile, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will be crushed over some difficult news.
First, we should talk about Britt’s next run-in with Carly. It’ll be the first time Britt’s seen Carly since she got engaged to Jason, so Britt will take a few jabs about the sudden impending nuptials.
Carly will feel like Britt’s being unreasonable and will basically want her to just get over it!
Since Carly couldn’t really make sense of Britt and Jason’s bond anyway, she’ll think this mob marriage is far more important.
Of course, Jason will have to fill Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) in on the news that he’s marrying Carly.
Jason will expect backlash, but Monica will actually understand where Jason’s coming from and will support the decision.
As for Liesl, she’ll be devastated on Britt’s behalf. GH fans know Obrecht was tickled pink over the idea of their successful romances.
It warmed Liesl’s heart to know she was happy with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) while Britt was working toward bliss with Jason.
It’ll sadden Obrecht to see her “Britta” dealing with the sorrow of Jason’s impending marriage, especially since Britt is shutting out Jason’s support completely.
Over with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), she’ll hope she can count on Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to back her as the new chief of staff pick.
As for Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), she’ll quiz TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and perhaps try to figure out if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) are back together.
However, Curtis will lash out at Stella later and push her to butt out of his love life. He won’t appreciate the meddling his auntie did with Portia and will make it clear that Stella needs to back off.
Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will also have a meeting with Judge Carson (Anita Finley), so we’ll see if Molly tries to get Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) out of solitary confinement or pushes for a different favor.
One thing’s for sure: Molly will be in over her head!
As for Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), they’ll officially put the past to rest. Joss and Cam’s latest kiss should be a huge part of the thaw between them.
Jake Webber (Hudson West) will also get an apology that comes from the heart, so he should finally patch things up with Cam and get their bond back to normal.
