General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Victor Cassadine may have killed Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham), which means he might’ve silenced Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) mom to protect his sinister secrets. Thaao Penghlis previously played Victor, who’s presumed dead at this point in the story.
However, it seems likely that Charles Shaughnessy’s mystery role will actually involve sliding in the part of Victor Cassadine.
Shaughnessy would be an excellent fit as a Victor recast – and the timing couldn’t be better since there’s been tons of talk about Victor lately.
When Shaughnessy debuts in September, we might see a flashback that explains exactly what went down in Naomi’s hotel room.
GH fans know Naomi was quite rattled by a man who was nicely dressed – someone menacing wearing gloves who was ready to move in for the kill.
Although a stand-in was obviously used, the show no doubt tried to go with someone who’d have the same appearance as the eventual murderer.
Based on that mystery man’s build and the knowledge that a big Cassadine story appears to be coming up, Victor was likely the killer.
Of course, that means Victor could be tied to Hayden’s disappearance and the Monte Carlo drama that’s brewing.
A couple of storylines seem poised to collide as Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) investigates with the help of several other key players on canvas.
We know from a script leak that Sam winds up at Cassandra Pierce’s (Jessica Tuck) old Monte Carlo casino.
Sam’s going to be quite involved in the search for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but there’s going to be some overlap with the Hayden story that Sam’s already part of with Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).
No matter how things play out, Victor Cassadine seems poised to make a major comeback and wreak plenty of havoc.
In fact, it looks like Victor’s already been doing it if he was indeed behind Naomi’s murder!
