General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, September 22 Update – Sonny’s Survival News Spreads – Nina’s Nightmare Not Over

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, September 22, teases that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) survival news will spread – and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) nightmare won’t be over despite her desperate wish. Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will also bust Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), so let’s talk about what’s in store.

By the Metro Court pool, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will seem nervous as he admits there’s one thing he might’ve forgotten to mention.

Cam will fill in Trina and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), so this may set the stage for more Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) drama.

“So you’re saying there’s a chance,” Spencer says in Wednesday’s preview clip.

Spencer really likes Trina despite the fact that he’s got a steady girlfriend in Esme. Even if Spencer can’t date Trina right now, he’ll at least keep his fingers crossed about being friends again.

However, Trina won’t have any tolerance for Esme, especially once she confirms that Esme torched Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) car and was responsible for the hospital badge shocker.

GH fans can expect Trina to kick off a mission to expose Esme – and she’ll want Cameron’s help soon enough.

In the meantime, Cameron will be forced to play peacemaker between Josslyn and Spencer. After a shouting match breaks out, Cam will intervene and hope they can all just chill.

Over with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she’ll respond positively to a fun offer.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has been enjoying his bonding time with Brook Lynn, but he’ll concentrate on properly patching things up with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) on Wednesday.

Chase and Willow already made peace, but it won’t be enough in Chase’s eyes. Perhaps Chase will think they all need to push past the awkwardness with a clean slate.

Chase won’t want Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to feel uncomfortable around him, so they should be happy to know they’re on good terms.

Chase doesn’t regret falling for the deception that resulted in his marriage since it led to his recovery.

Nina, on the other hand, is definitely battling some regrets over how she handled things in Nixon Falls.

Now that the situation has blown up, Nina will hope the nightmare is over.

Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) may argue that’s wishful thinking since Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) hasn’t even had a chance to unleash her fury yet!

Carly will indeed rip into Nina down the road, but for now it’ll be Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) who lashes out.

Nina betrayed their friendship by keeping “Mike” aka Sonny’s true identity a secret for months.

Phyllis will remain upset over Nina’s actions, but she’ll at least listen to her full explanation and try to understand.

Nina and Phyllis should find a way forward as friends, even if it takes a little time to fully get past this.

Next, Ava will head over to Charlie’s Pub and mention some papers that need signing.

Ava’s divorce may be final once she takes that last step, but Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) will grant Ava’s wish when it comes to helping out more at the pub.

Until Ava can sell the place as planned or at least return to Port Charles, Kristina should be willing to step up.

If Sonny winds up purchasing Charlie’s Pub to turn into a new version of The Tan-O at some point, that just might warm Phyllis’ heart!

Of course, Sonny’s still trying to wrap his head around all the changes in Port Charles right now. Carly will lean in close and softly ask her husband a question on Wednesday, September 22.

This could bring Sonny and Carly’s opportunity to reaffirm their love for each other – and even hint about reuniting intimately once Sonny’s feeling up to it.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will surely have questions about the explosion that killed Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) and Mr. Charles Buscema (Burt Tangredi), but Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will have something more important to talk about.

Jason will spread the word about Sonny coming back from the “dead” – and soon, Sonny’s other children will get that amazing news as well.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny’s survival will send more shockwaves all over PC, so keep watching.
