In tonight’s NCIS Hawai’i episode, Navy Petty Officer Dave Andrews was found dead near the beach. His head was bloodied. He was hit from behind and he wasn’t killed at the beach. There was blood found there. He was killed elsewhere and his body was dumped there. Special Agent in Charge Tennant took on the case.

Her team looked into Andrews. He was a Recue Swimmer with the Navy and he was dating another Rescue Swimmer from the Coast Guards. His girlfriend was Tracy Moore. She was the first black Rescue Swimmer in the history of the Coast Guards on the island and she was famous. Her recent rescue of someone went viral. Moore hasn’t been the same since then and she took time off work. The team bumped into her as she was about to go into her house.

Moore went camping. Or so she claimed. She said she turned off her cell phone and so she was just getting back but here’s the odd thing. She heard music coming from inside of her house. She didn’t leave any music on when she left and so Kai and Tara went into her house with their gun unholstered only to find the house full with teddy bears.

Pink teddy bears. There was a radio playing a creepy love song and that plus the blood indicated that Andrews was killed there. But what the team couldn’t figure out was why. Moore said she and Andrews didn’t have any problems. He would therefore know she would go camping and so why he would go to her house. Or fill it with pink teddy bears. The teddy bears were a little bit much.

Moore wasn’t really in a state to be questioned. She was in shock when they broke the news about her boyfriend’s death and still the team suspected she was holding something back. They looked into her. They found out that she had no digital footprint from eighteen to twenty-five. She joined the Coast Guards at 18. There was just one photo of her before then on social media.

She was a in a group with a couple of guys and so Kai was the one sent in to question Moore. He met her at swimming center. She trains there everyday and Kai used the chance to get her to open up. It turns out Moore has a past. She was sorta forced into a relationship with a man named Eddie Foreman and Foreman also forced her into being a lookout while he robbed.

His last job went too far, however. He set fire to a building he robbed and he killed a couple in the apartment above and so he was sent to juvenile detention center. Moore believes he killed her boyfriend and she might be right. Foreman was released from prison on early parole.

He was also on the island and that couldn’t be a coincidence. Foreman was brought in for questioning. They asked him about why he chose to visit the island now and what he was doing during the time of death for Andrews. He claims to have been sightseeing. Foreman has been through this before and he didn’t want to reveal anything. He wasn’t talking but Moore was. Moore believed the teddy bears from Foreman.

Moore mentioned an incident back when she was dating Foreman. They were at a carnival and he wanted to win her a teddy bear. He kept trying until he ran out of money. Only he never did win the bear. Foreman then got upset. He called the game rigged and beat the operator within an inch of his life. Moore was a charismatic man who preyed on the vulnerable and young. Moore wasn’t his only victim.

He enlisted several others and he mostly had them do the dirty work. It was one guy he served time with that he hired to kill Moore. Foreman’s man was caught and killed before he could hurt Moore. But the team still didn’t have direct evidence against Foreman. They had someone follow him while they gave Moore protective detail.

Tara was on Moore. She was with her when Foreman showed up with a gun and attempted to kill his ex-girlfriend. Tara and a member of the Coast Guard were able to step in. They stopped Foreman from killing his victim and they were later able to arrest him. Foreman is going to prison for the rest of his life, but Moore was now safe. She could start again. Tara meanwhile was rekindling an old romance with Whistler and they were going to keep things secret for a while because Whistler has a few things to work out.

Later, Kai invited Jesse to his father’s restaurant and Jesse got to pass his congratulations for the older man’s latest test results. He was doing better and he was finally getting to meet Kai’s friends.

THE END!
