In tonight’s NCIS LA episode, a group of federal agents were killed. The group were a bunch ATF Special Agents investigating German arms dealers and they had an agent on the inside when something went wrong. The inside agent was tortured to death. The agents listening in went running to the rescue and they were all killed. The only ones were to survive were both Sam and Callen. They were helping with the case because the ATF agents involved had been friends and so their deaths were personal for the team. They wanted revenge yet they called it justice. The arms dealer they had been investigating was named Lukas Meyer. His girlfriend was Mia Han and another associate was a man in the military who was known to Killbride.

The man was General Collins. He was a friend of Admiral Killbride and there were political repercussions to talking to him. Collins has important friends. His friend the Governor of Arizona had called Killbride when he heard he was going to speak to Collins and he informed Killbride that Collins planned on running for a senate seat.

The governor didn’t want the team ruining the general’s chances at a senate seat. Admiral Killbride had promised to tread with care, but he couldn’t say the same for Sam. Sam wanted justice for his friends and so he didn’t care about politics. He just wanted the guilty to be punished. He also didn’t care about Collin’s rank. He saw him as instantly guilty the moment he heard that Collins was buying illegal guns from Meyer.

Collins had purchased over two hundred semi-automatics for “patriots”. Those same patriots were guarding the border out of their own pockets and now Collins wanted to give them weapons. They were a militia. A potentially dangerous militia. What’s to stop them from killing immigrants in the name of “patriotism” and so Sam wanted to arrest the general. The guy could be arming people for another attack on the capital for all they knew.

Sam wanted to do something and it was Killbride who talked him down. Killbride said they had to handle the case with care. Sam suspected he wouldn’t be feeling that way if Collins hadn’t been a friend and so he decided to test Killbride. He wanted to see what lengths Killbride would go to protect his friend.

Sam spoke to Deeks about it. They agreed to push Killbride into a corner to see how he responds and in the meantime they kept tabs on the general. Collins later met with Devon Walker. He’s a leader of a local militia group and it hadn’t looked like Collins was giving him bad news.

If anything, Walker was smiling and the two of them were laughing together. Like Walker suspected he was still going to get the guns. The team began believing that Collins was still going to try to illegally purchase the weapons and the best person to know about it would be the girlfriend. Han was more prisoner than girlfriend. She was in a rehabilitation center trying to get clean and she opened up to Kensi who also posed as an addict.

Kensi offered to be a friend. She found out that Han originally wanted to be a model and that her boyfriend branded her with a scar to keep her from pursuing her dream. He then forced her into becoming his accountant. He made her use her qualifications to do his books and so she knows were the bodies are buried. He was never going to allow her to walk away with that information.

Kensi got close to her by “rescuing” her from Fatima who also posed as an addict. Kensi then offered to kill Meyer for Han. Han agreed to it. She gave Kensi the address to find Meyer. She also said when Meyer was going to pass out drunk that night. Han gave Kensi money to carry out the job and she also ran off to make sure she was as far away as possible when the time was supposed to come.

Han and Kensi had really bonded. Kensi had truly been sad when she said goodbye to Han and she wanted to deliver on her promise. She wanted to free Han of Meyer. Only she went to the address and it had been the wrong one. Meyer hadn’t been there. Han had no reason to lie to Kensi and so they didn’t know how Meyer escaped the noose. Or at least that’s what they thought at first.

Meyer was later found dead of an oxy overdose and Kensi knew it was Han. Han killed her boyfriend herself. Kensi gave the idea and she followed through on it. Han has also since disappeared. She was in the wind and the team didn’t want to look for her. They understood why she killed Meyer. They also couldn’t prove for sure that she had murdered him and so she gets to walk away scott free. And the good news kept coming.

Collins had lied to the team. He had already purchased the illegal weapons and he was trying to hand it over to the militia when he was arrested. He was arrested by Killbride. Killbride suspected Collins had been lying about the buy. He had him followed the same time that Sam and the others were following him. And so ATF were later able to arrest both him and the militia he was working with.

This was the end of Collins’s career and it could also mean the end of Killbride’s time at NCIS.

THE END!
