In tonight’s episode of REBEL, Rebel appears on a local radio show to discuss her book about being your own superhero. A woman calls in to ask about being evicted after she raises clean water issues with her landlord. Rebel tells her she is going to help.
Rebel heads to work. She is annoyed with Ziggy who has a hickey. She is also mad about her ex and a lawsuit she and Julian are working on. She reminds him that he is mad and motivated before leaving. She heads out to kick some slump lord butt.
Rebel and Lana head to meet the young lady being kicked out of her apartment. Her things are already on the lawn when they arrive. Meanwhile, Cass wants in on the Stonemore case. At her firm, they turn on her TV to see Rebel giving a press conference about how Stonemore has poisoned many.
Rebel, Lana, and the young woman Jackie head to the property owner’s home. He puts all of the blame on his management company. Julian battles it out in court against Stonemore. It isn’t going his way. Meanwhile, Nate gets the green light from a fellow female doctor. The two used to sleep together.
Ziggy calls Rebel to tell her about the court case and how Cassidy is there. Case and Rebel meet up. Rebel yells at Cassidy about joining such a case. Her father is brainwashing her.
Cassidy discovers her dad added her to the case to help himself. He is hoping once the clients Julian is representing know Rebel’s ex is the opposing lawyer they will drop Julian. Sure enough, Rebel is forced to plead with Julian’s clients to keep him on the case. It works.
Rebel shows up late to therapy with Grady. He is on his way out and annoyed she couldn’t show up on time. He is sick of competing with her work. Lana calls. He tells her to take it. She chooses work every time anyways.
Jackie and a number of other tenants camp out on their property owner’s lawn. They pitch tents and more. Rebel demands he give them all clean water and then they will leave. The owner finally gives in. Lana wants him to put his promises in writing.
In court, Rebel’s ex fights for Stonemore heart valves. Julian gets up and talks about how he lost his daughter after she had a valve replacement. He has a number of clients who have also lost loved ones.
Lana visits Benji at his office. She talks about him including Cassidy in his case. Meanwhile, Nate is cooking while Cassidy vents about their family. Amir knocks. He is there to get his stuff and break up with Cassidy. She has made some work decisions that have upset him.
Ziggy lets a boy in her room while Grady drinks at a bar. A woman hits on him. He takes his wedding ring off. Rebel and Julian hang at the office, talking. Rebel vents about her work and her family. Mid-sentence Julian clutches his chest and falls to the floor. Rebel races to him.
