Tonight on CW their drama Riverdale airs with an all-new Wednesday, September 1, 2021, season 5 episode 14 called, “Chapter Ninety: The Night Gallery,” and we have your Riverdale recap below. In tonight’s Riverdale season 5 episode 12 episode as per the CW synopsis, “Cheryl enlists the help of Archie, Kevin, Fangs, and Reggie after she learns there is palladium underneath her maple groves; Betty and Alice confront a trucker who may have been involved in Polly’s disappearance.

in tonight’s Riverdale episode, Cheryl invites her art collector over at a late hour to see some paintings. The collector seems nervous. Meanwhile, Archie meets with his psychiatrist. Archie shares the death of a fellow soldier. He blames himself. He then goes through MDR therapy. After, he tells Eric and Frank. Cheryl shows up. She needs some muscle working in the mines. She wants the palladium Hiram is after. They all agree to help.

Archie and the gang work the mines. When Archies heads to get Kevin he sees his fellow dead soldier. Later, he goes back to his doctor. Maybe he can take some medication, he tells her. She prescribes him some lose dose meds. Archie heads back to the mines. They all talk about the moth men they have heard about.

Back in the mines, Archie has an episode and becomes paranoid. He goes to his doctor, accusing her of working for the government. He tells Frank and the others not to trust anyone. They tell him to take some time off from the mines. Frank heads down and feels strange too. They realize it is carbon monoxide. They tell Cheryl it isn’t safe. She wants them to figure it out and continue to work. Archie heads to his doctor. He apologizes for his actions. The doctor is scared of him. She thinks he is unsafe.

Betty questions the possible highway killer. She doesn’t get very far at first. Tabitha wants out but if Betty gets in too deep she wants to know. The suspect sends Betty on a wild goose chase, telling her where bodies are. The graves have dog bones. Betty thinks he is still in the killer.

Betty goes to her mom. She wants her to meet the suspect. It might jostle his human emotions and he could confess. Alice and Betty meet to talk to the suspect. He laughs at Alice and tells her Polly squealed like a pig when he slit her throat. Alice slaps him, becoming hysterical. Alice wants him dead while Betty wants to try harder to get him to officially confess.

Betty tries one more time to get Polly’s whereabouts. He doesn’t share. She threatens to cut him into pieces. He bites his tongue off, chokes on it, and dies. Betty tells Alice what happened. She thinks the suspect is from a family of killers.

Jug sits in the circle of a support group. He introduces himself and shares that he is an alcoholic. He shares his backstory and how all of this came to be. He started writing every night, drinking coffee then whiskey. It became a habit. He finally got an agent who gave him a bottle of whiskey.

He then moved to New York City. He met a girl, continued to write, and then kept drinking. Betty then canceled plans to come to his book release. He began to spiral. Suddenly, he was waking up in a hospital room. After he was released he continued to fight with his love interest. He also learned that he fell in a sinkhole weeks before he went to the hospital.

He was so out of it, he stayed there. He met a man who called himself the king of the underworld. A man in the sewer. They became friends after Jug shared that he was a writer. He read the Rat King his book. Weeks went by. Jug recalls coming back to civilization after Betty saved him. He discovered he was sick with an infection.

Jug went back later and found the sinkhole he fell into. He realized some of these memories from then were not based on reality. He was attacked by rats. He never met a Rat King. Now, he is trying to stop drinking and get his life in order.

Cheryl wraps up another showing with the collector Minerva. She shows her a painting she created of the two of them. Cheryl tells her she has feelings for her. Minerva shares she is leaving on a long trip.
