In tonight’s Station 19 episode, Andy is fighting with her husband. Sullivan, it seems had done something. They wouldn’t say what it was at first because Andy refused to talk about it. She didn’t want t ruin Maya’s wedding day with her argument with Sullivan and so she benched the conversation for another time.

However, there were flashbacks of a fire. The two of them responded to a house fire with seven people inside of the building and they had been told that the people inside had all quarantined together. They were a large family. There was a couple of children and so Andy and Sullivan went into the building. They were having flashbacks of that fire while in current times there was a wedding going ahead. Maya and Carina are getting married.

They were getting married at Vic’s parents’ restaurant. Everyone invited was included in a bubble and there was rapid covid testing on the day of. The soon-to-be-married couple wanted a wedding without masks. Carina had to go back to Italy for four weeks and being in the trenches of the coronavirus as well as the days she had to quarantine when she got back meant she didn’t want the pandemic looming over her wedding.

She wanted it to be as normal as possible. Maya and Carina are getting married. The whole team was talking about it and Montgomery even mentioned it in a conversation with his dad. His dad still hasn’t come clean about being gay to his wife. He doesn’t want to hurt her and yet he was in love.

Montgomery’s father was in love with another man. He now realizes he should never have spoken against his son when he too was in love with a man and so he told Montgomery that he should try again. Montgomery lost his husband who was a fellow firefighter to a fire. He’s a widow and he doesn’t really seem to want to try again. He’s dated other guys and he’s always shied away when they wanted more commitment.

In that sense, he was like Jack. Jack was dating Inara and Inara’s sister needed help with her kids. She asked Inara to move in. Inara is considering it and Jack hasn’t said a thing. He hasn’t spoken up against it. He hasn’t asked her to stay and that’s what Inara wanted. She wanted to feel like Jack was willing to fight for her only he doesn’t seem to want to.

Miller also had relationship issues. He had a thing with his lawyer who was representing him in the lawsuit against the police department and the police department was willing to settle. The lawyer suggested they should take the agreement. She wanted the case to end because she wanted to pursue things with Miller and she told him as much but Miller doesn’t want a relationship with her. He still has feelings for Vic.

Miller has tried pushing away Vic. He asked her to move out and stop being his roommate because he hadn’t wanted to ruin their friendship with his feelings. Only the feelings haven’t gone away. Miller now suspects he’s in love with Vic and his closest friends are telling him to take a chance and tell her.

Ben dated his now-wife back when they were co-workers. It worked out and they’re one of the strongest relationships among their friends. Ben and his wife were even joking that very same morning about doctors. Ben had a mass that was removed. He was told he didn’t need any chemotherapy and so he wanted to check that with a third opinion or fourth or fifth. His wife told him he had nothing to worry about. She laughed at him seeing four or five doctors who she knew would all say something and so it was just Ben who needed to get over his paranoia. He was fine. He was in peak health and he just needed to accept it. Ben was given Miller dating advice. He told him to go after Vic and Jack said the same.

Jack dated two of his co-workers. It didn’t work out. His relationship with Andy was hot and heavy one moment and then dead the next. He also dated Maya. Maya dumped him in order to pursue being a captain and so Jack’s dating life was all over the place and maybe that’s why he’s willing to lose Inara. The guys went together to the wedding. They waited on both brides. Maya was running late because she visited her parents and she told them she was getting married. She also told her mother that she has a bed waiting for her whenever she feels like leaving her husband again. Maya visited her parents to get several things off her chest. She came out to them as bisexual. She said what she had to say and then she left and surprisingly her mother later showed up at the wedding.

Andy greeted Maya’s mother so that she wouldn’t have to speak to Sullivan. Theo also showed up at the wedding. He had been invited by Vic’s parents and so he showed up with a gift. He even spoke with Montgomery. Montgomery no longer hates for the part he played in Michael’s death. He’s forgiven him and in his own way, he gave Montgomery his blessing to pursue Vic and so two men at the wedding had feelings for her. Theo also told Montgomery to be happy. He could go after Emmett and he doesn’t have to shirk commitment. The two guys were talking as what Sullivan did was finally revealed. Sullivan took an opportunity to stand by Maya and he instead used it to promote himself. He didn’t stand by his captain or his alleged friend.

This is why Andy doesn’t want to speak with him. She couldn’t believe he would backstab Maya like this and over something so important as saving a child’s life. This is why Maya got in trouble. Maya refused a command from her superior officer at the scene of the fire and she rushed a child to the hospital in a fire truck rather than wait for an ambulance. Maya has done a lot of things to put her in the spotlight. She’s attended protests with her team. She’s made a stand against the police department and so some are thinking she’s too cocky and what she had needed was everyone’s full support. Sullivan instead took that chance to promote himself. He wants his old position back and he didn’t care who got hurt in the meantime. And so he was losing Andy because of it.

Andy refused to speak with him. She gave Jack advice about Inara and she admitted to him that she confused lust with love. Jack then tried to talk to Inara but she told him not to say what he wanted to say. He doesn’t love her. He loves their family, not her. Inara was going to go move in with her sister and that was that. Jack and Inara are over.

Vic and Theo soon became a thing.

Montgomery pursued Emmett.

And Maya was relieved of her duties as captain, it literally happened on her wedding day.

THE END!
