Meanwhile, the twenty-three remaining men move in. Katie tells Tayshia and Kaitlyn that she was pretty happy for the most part with her selection of men.

James came out of his box at the initial cocktail meet & greet, competition is fierce, he plans on concentrating on Katie. Michael has no idea what to expect, but he can’t wait to have more time with Katie. The first date card arrives, it is for Christian, Garrett, Tre, Quartney, Mike P., James, Justin, Thomas, Connor B., and Karl, “I’m looking for a great love, Katie.” It is going to be a little fight for her attention. Time for their date, they are in a dark room and this date is about lots and lots of love. Katie brought Heather McDonald, she is a comedian known for sex. She gives the men questions about sex.

Time for the guys to get up on stage, they want to be sex-positive and make it memorable, grab her attention. Connor B. gets up and sings her a song that he wrote. Katie loves a guy who can be confident, and Connor B. owned it. Tre brings out puppets, Kate is eating it up. They all have to stand out when they are delivering the same sales pitch. There can only be one greatest lover of all time, and it is Mike, whom he won for saying that he was saving himself for her. The group date rose is still up for grabs, the men know that they can still seek redemption on this group date.

Another group date arrives, this one is for Greg, “let’s let our love run wild, Katie.” He had the first impression rose and the guys didn’t think he would get the first one on one as well.

Katie us at ger cocktail party with her group date men, she sits down with them one on one to decide, who she is going to give that first date rose to. She tells Connor that she appreciates him being vulnerable with her and open and honest with how he was feeling, Thomas she appreciates the moment that they shared expressing how they are feeling at this point in the journey, and Mike she really appreciates him sharing something with everyone that was so personal to him. But tonight, she gives the group date rose to Thomas. Karl is upset, he feels like he should have called the shots and he missed it.

Kate arrives in a pickup truck to collect Greg for their date. James finds it hard to sit on the sidelines and watch from afar. In the pickup, Katie asks Greg if he is an outdoors kind of guy, he says yes, he grew up fishing. Greg feels like that they have a lot of potentials, he is ready to rock ‘n roll. She brings Kate to the river, they are going fishing. Katie already feels comfortable with Greg, and she feels like this is a very intimate date sharing with him what she used to do with her dad. First thing, they put together a tent, Katie felt that Greg was hot putting it together and didn’t take things too seriously, which she loved.

He came into this as never as hell, but Katie is so fun-loving that it makes it easy with her. He wants a girl that doesn’t take things too seriously. He tells her that he was so nervous, but he is so happy to be spending time with her. He says he feels so special getting the first impression rose and now the first date. She finds that Greg is so easy to get along with. Next, they play horseshoes and eat lunch together in the wilderness.

She tells him that her father taught her everything about the outdoors, camping and fishing. Her father passed away in 2012, she feels like he is getting to meet her father without him, it is a piece of him. She says she is reminded every day how short life is. He says he totally understands. Katie gets emotional, she wants to go fishing. Her dad was a big part of her life, and she is missing him. Greg tells her that he feels something with her and wants her to open up and talk about the things that mean a lot to her. He thanks her for picking him for this date that means so much to her.

Another date card arrives, this one is for John, Andrew S., Kyle, Josh, Aaron, Brendan, Hunter, and Kody, “let’s get down and dirty, Katie.”

Michael can’t believe he wasn’t invited to the group date, he hopes there is enough connection to carry him through the next group date. Doubt is really real, he misses his son so much and it is eating him alive.

At dinner, Greg tells Katie that the date meant a lot to him. She says she struggled with opening up, she misses her dad a lot, she is trying to balance getting to know him and have a good time, with being honest and strong. Greg starts to open up about his own family and how important it is to him. The two start crying as he wears his emotions on his sleeve. Katie tells him that the date was perfect, she offers him the date rose and sneaks in another kiss under fireworks. Meanwhile, the men say that if Greg comes back with a rose, they are all in trouble. Greg thinks that Katie is incredible, it was one of the best dates that he has had in a long time. Katie admits she is falling for Greg in such a short amount of time.

The next morning, Tayshia and Kaitlyn wake up the men by banging on pots with wooden spoons and pulling the covers off them. She tells them to hurry up, no getting dressed, no shirts. Whatever they have on they are wearing on this date. The men will be participating in Katie’s Big Buckle Brawl. They are getting down and dirty, wrestling in the mud. First, they are given clothes to wear, cowboy attire. Watching Aaron and Cody, it was aggressive, the two are really going at it. The men are cheering them on, Katie looks worried, she can see that something is going on between them; it was intense, personal. Aaron was the winner.

If there is a problem with these two, Katie wants to address it head-on. Aaron wins the golden cowboy belt for his effort on the group date. Since Aaron is the winner, he gets to chat with Katie while the rest go and get washed up. Aaron tells Katie that he knows Cody from back in San Diego, they are not cool and not friends. Cody did some social media posts that rubbed him the wrong way; the way he handles things, is not the energy that he wants around him. She tells him that she appreciates him bring it up. Katie is annoyed, one of her biggest fears is someone being there who shouldn’t be. If they are there with a hidden agenda, that is not going to be a secret for long.

Time for the after-party, Cody looks forward to speaking to Katie and he thinks his chance of getting the group date rose is great. Katie asks to speak to Cody, Aaron hopes he is going, to be honest with his intentions. Cody tells Katie that what Aaron told her was not factual about him.

Katie tells Cody that Aaron said he was there for fame, Cody says he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Katie says one of them is lying to her, right to her face. Cody claims that he doesn’t know what Aaron is referring to. Katie says she has a lot to think about, she cuts their talk off short. Cody is containing himself, but he is very angry. Cody goes back into the room where the men are and ask to speak to Aaron.

He tells him that he looks bad with the things that he told Katie. Katie steals Cody again. Katie tells him that ultimately she doesn’t feel like they have trust and it is a shame this early in the process. She tells him that it is best for him to go home tonight, she doesn’t want to waste anyone’s time. The SUV drives up and Cody gets inside. Katie doesn’t like how she feels right now and she hopes the rest of the guys are there for her and want to explore a relationship. Katie goes in and tells the men she sent Cody home.

Andrew is upset, Cody and Aaron took all Katie’s time. He gets her a glass of champagne and goes out to see her. He tells her that he is there for her, he wants to comfort her and put her mind at ease at the same time. She tells him that from the bottom of her heart she believes in this process. He tells her he was brought up by a strong woman, he was poor and she was too. They both grew up without a lot of things, and they both bonded over that. He lays in for a kiss and she is into it.

After the Cody fiasco, Katie got to know the men on a more intimate level and is now having a hard time giving out the group date rose. She says he rose is going to Andrew, he is really excited, he is swept off his feet right now. It confirms what he was feeling, he says he could moonwalk, he is so happy. Hunter feels punched in the gut, there is a natural amount of hurt feelings.

Michael is really worried about heading into the cocktail party, he hasn’t had a date with Katie yet and he doesn’t know why. Katie tells all the men that she let Cody go home, and if there is anything else she needs to know, she appreciates being told. Katie asks Michael if she can speak to him first. They sit down, he kisses her on the cheek. She tells him that they have a good connection and she didn’t feel like they needed a date to validate that. He says he felt confident. He asks if he can kiss her, she says yes, and the two kiss like school kids, all giddy and smiling.

Katie goes in to see the men, she is in tears and says tonight a bomb was dumped on her, that multiple men are there for the wrong reasons. And, she doesn’t know how clear she can be about her intentions. But if they are not there for the right reasons, then they should get out. She asks if anyone wants to say anything, they don’t say a word. She asks Aaron to go talk. A lot of the men are blindsided.

Katie tells Aaron that all she knows is that she has to watch out for certain people, but she doesn’t know who they are. She asks Aaron if there is anything he knows, he says no. Meanwhile, Karl admits that he is the one that told Katie that there are men there that are not being authentic. Aaron returns to the room, Karl tells him that he did it. Aaron tells him that it is the dumbest thing that he could have possibly done. Aaron tells him that he can’t speculate if it is going to cause damage. Tre calls Karl a weak spineless man.

THE END!
