The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) could end up jealous after Eric Forrester (John McCook) confesses to Katie Logan (Heather Tom) instead of her. Will Donna be hurt over her ex and her sister’s growing bond? Let’s take a moment to really think about this tricky situation.
Donna has made it clear that she still loves Eric and that she’s struggling to move on. Although Donna has tried to get back in the dating game, no one can compete with her Honeybear.
Donna feels like maybe a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love has slipped through her fingers. She just doesn’t believe she’ll ever find a man as good as Eric and has even declared Eric the only man for her.
Since B&B has devoted a decent chunk of airtime to Donna’s lingering love, why are the writers ignoring her now?
Why send Katie off to gently quiz Eric and privately bond with him? They just as easily could’ve had Donna check on Eric in Katie’s place.
Perhaps there’s a dramatic reason for the sister swap that’s going on here.
During the week of September 27-October 1, Eric and Katie will come together for a moment of catharsis. They’ll get emotional and strengthen their connection, which will ultimately build to Eric’s big confession.
Katie will finally understand what they’ve all been missing when Eric reveals he’s suffering from ED.
Again, Donna could’ve been the Logan sister that B&B sent to Eric and had him confide in. It’s interesting that they’re letting Katie be the one Eric turns to and trusts.
Maybe the point is to stir up some drama and leave Donna jealous of this growing bond. So far, nothing romantic seems to be happening between Eric and Katie.
It truly seems to be a case of trusting a friend enough to open up, but Donna may not see it that way.
Donna might be jealous when she realizes Katie was the one Eric was willing to come clean to.
It could leave Donna hurt that Eric didn’t feel they had that same kind of relationship.
Donna might also be angry with Katie for handling this herself instead of sending her pining sister to do it.
The truth is Eric might’ve confided in Donna if she’d been around to ask the hard questions and gently push him like Katie’s doing.
That leads us to wonder why the writers aren’t letting Donna get involved, so jealousy could become a factor for drama’s sake.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Donna will continue to yearn for Eric, so we’ll see if she gets her reunion wish down the road.
