The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, January 4, reveal that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was in total shock as Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) said that she had taken a few pregnancy tests and they came back positive.
Liam asked how far along Steffy was, and if there was a chance that he was the father. Steffy said that she wouldn’t know until she went to the doctor.
Liam freaked out, ranting about how the odds are greater that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is the father, and Steffy said that Finn didn’t know about the pregnancy yet.
Liam said that Steffy must be under great stress, which wasn’t good for the baby, and both he and Steffy agreed that this was a miracle, but a complicated one.
Liam hated that he was the reason Steffy was going through this, and he said that if the child was his, then he’d be there. Steffy seemed hesitant, and Liam wondered if there was something that Steffy wasn’t telling him yet, but Steffy said no.
Steffy started to panic, saying that she couldn’t tell Finn, and that there was only one way this could turn out – the baby had to be Finn’s.
Meanwhile, at Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) mansion, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) continued their conversation.
Both Hope and Thomas wondered what was going on over at Steffy’s place with Steffy and Liam, and then talk turned to Thomas spending time with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Thomas told Hope that he wasn’t going to interfere in Hope’s family with Liam anymore. Hope then let it slip that Liam saw Thomas with the mannequin and assumed it was her.
Thomas was sorry, and he wondered if Liam knew the truth now. Hope said that she and Liam got the misunderstanding cleared up and put that night behind them.
After some more conversation, Thomas realized that what Liam saw was him kissing the mannequin, and he was horrified. “It was you kissing the mannequin,” Hope said, “But to Liam it looked like me.” Thomas looked completely embarrassed.
At Forrester Creations, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) continued their argument, with Zoe insisting that Paris would NOT work there.
Zoe said that she got there first, and that Paris should go be a social worker somewhere else. Paris fumed that she trained to work somewhere just like the Forrester Foundation.
“The foundation is about helping people, please don’t make me turn it down,” Paris urged. Zoe said that she wanted Paris to succeed – just not here. “Do I have to remind you of what’s happened before?” Zoe asked. “You move in on my life and my friends.”
Paris argued that they weren’t in high school anymore, and that she liked the opportunity at Forrester Creations.
Zoe accused Paris of flirting with Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) and “operating.” Paris was offended, and she said that she had been open about her attraction to Zende. Zoe accused Paris of zeroing in on Zende because his family has money. Paris accused Zoe of projecting, then she took it back.
Paris went on, saying that Zoe was always like this – controlling and jealous. Paris also said that Zoe doesn’t have confidence in herself and feels threatened by her.
“You’ve always wanted to keep me down,” Paris fumed. “Can we move on from this, please? Let’s try being supportive of each other,” Paris urged.
Zoe said that she felt attacked, and Paris said that Zoe loved her only if she was on another coast. “Where I work and live really isn’t up to you,” Paris said.
“You’re not going to move in on my territory,” Zoe insisted, saying that she must tell Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) no. “That’s how it’s going to be,” Zoe said flatly.
