The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 7, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) warned Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) that he couldn’t brainwash Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) – and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) insisted Hope’s dad must go!
At Forrester Creations on Thursday’s B&B episode, Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) came in with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and couldn’t wait to share what happened. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) admitted they knew about Paris singing the national anthem since they watched the game on TV.
Zende gushed over his rockstar girlfriend before Thomas and Steffy talked about how fortunate they were to have Paris on Forrester’s team. Although Zende acknowledged that was true, he felt no one was luckier than him and leaned in for a kiss with Paris. Thomas glared at the smooch and looked a bit jealous.
Once Zende was alone with Steffy, he admitted that he had his dream job and dream girlfriend. Zende was once happy living the single life, but life with Paris was better. Steffy could tell Zende had fallen hard and was so happy for him.
In the design office, Thomas quizzed Paris about what it was like to sing with so much passion, emotion and depth. Paris admitted whenever she sings, she feels better and lighter somehow. Thomas thanked Paris for sharing that with him, so she thanked him for asking.
When Thomas brought up the idea of Paris singing at the launch for the new collection, she was on board. Paris wound up dropping a sketch, so she reached down to get it at the same time as Thomas. That led to Thomas and Paris touching hands as well as locking eyes in an intense moment.
At the cabin, Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) arrived at Hope’s request. Liam could tell Hope was nervous as she tried to explain the reason for this meeting. When Hope’s special guest arrived sooner than planned, she urged everyone to keep an open mind – just like she was trying to do.
“Daddy’s home,” Deacon said as he entered. Ridge shouted that Deacon should be in prison, so Liam figured he must’ve escaped. When Liam threatened to call the police, Deacon said they wouldn’t care since he’d been released due to overcrowding.
Although Deacon knew he’d given them plenty of reasons to doubt him, he promised he was reformed. Ridge wondered how much money it’d take to get rid of Deacon – and Brooke agreed Deacon would always take the low road.
Hope insisted Deacon wasn’t there to cause trouble or ask for money and revealed that she’d invited him. Brooke warned that Deacon couldn’t be trusted and feared he could start drinking again. Ridge complained about Deacon being in prison for all of five minutes and then trying to act all warm and fuzzy.
Deacon just wanted a little time and a little benefit of the doubt. He felt he could change everyone’s mind, but Brooke argued that she knew him too well – and Ridge agreed they all did. Liam urged Hope to tell Deacon to walk away or else she’d set herself up for disappointment.
Hope argued that she wasn’t forgiving everything Deacon had done. She also knew they were all trying to protect her, but she couldn’t just send her father away. Brooke assumed Deacon had wormed his way back into Hope’s life through a pity party or that he had guilt-tripped her somehow.
Hope insisted she felt bad for Deacon, so she started writing to him. Deacon pulled a bundle of Hope’s letters out of his bag and said they’d been his lifeline in prison. They were Deacon’s inspiration to be worthy of his beautiful daughter’s care and concern.
Liam was upset to learn Hope had been secretly corresponding with Deacon pretty much the entire time he’d been behind bars. However, Deacon felt that Hope’s name was literally what she gave him: hope that someday he could get out of that cesspool and be the father she deserved.
Brooke didn’t buy that – and Ridge backed her up since he thought Deacon was playing Hope. Liam piped up that Deacon couldn’t just come there and start brainwashing his wife. Brooke added that Deacon wasn’t welcome and would never be part of Hope’s life. She sternly pushed Hope to tell Deacon that, but Hope just stood there looking unsettled.
