The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 20, reveals that Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) made a strong case for why she should be with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) again. During Zoe’s conversation with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Zoe insisted Carter was the man she wanted.
If there was even a small chance of a reunion, Zoe felt she had to do everything she could to fight for Carter. Zoe reflected on Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) giving her a second chance and hoped Carter might do the same – that is, of course, unless Carter was already dating someone else.
Zoe confessed she wouldn’t blame Carter if he’d decided to move on. Since Ridge and Eric are close to Carter, Zoe hoped they could fill her in. After Ridge admitted he didn’t think Carter was dating anybody new, Zoe got the feeling Ridge still thought she shouldn’t hold her breath on a reunion.
However, Zoe stayed positive and hoped the Forrester men would put in a good word for her with Carter. Once Ridge was alone with Eric, he wanted to continue their discussion about his dad’s marriage drama.
Eric came clean about his relationship just not being the same anymore. He acknowledged that he was having some trouble with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) – especially during their bedroom time.
At Carter’s place on Tuesday’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, he assured Quinn it was fine that she’d confided in him. “That my husband won’t make love to me anymore? That it’s been far too long?” Quinn asked as she admitted her embarrassment.
Carter didn’t think there was any need to be embarrassed. He pointed out just how much Quinn and Eric had already overcome to be together. Carter insisted Eric and Quinn could persevere as usual, but Quinn felt this time was different.
Quinn talked about how what happened between Zoe and Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) was symptomatic of something deeper Zoe was dealing with. Quinn suggested that was the case for her, too.
Quinn felt like Eric’s forgiveness hadn’t translated to the bedroom and worried that her husband was slowly slipping away. Quinn worried there was a chance Eric had fallen out of love with her completely.
Carter asked if Quinn had attempted to talk to Eric about this, but Quinn had concerns. She considered the possibility that Eric simply couldn’t perform his husbandly duties and didn’t want to emasculate Eric by calling him out.
Carter felt like Quinn had to tackle these marriage issues head on and learn to communicate with Eric. Quinn noted that Carter was a lawyer as well as a COO and marriage officiant. She pointed out that Carter was now adding intimacy therapist to the list.
“My goodness, Mr. Walton. Are there no ends to your talents?” Quinn gushed with a smile.
Carter wondered what else “Dr. Carter” could be of help with, but Quinn felt like just opening up like this was helpful. Nevertheless, Quinn noted that her purpose for coming was to try to secure another chance for Zoe. Carter felt Zoe was lucky to have someone like Quinn backing her up.
Quinn argued that all any of us ever want is passion, intimacy, love and connection. Carter offered one last reminder to Quinn about communication being key before he dashed upstairs to put on his workout clothes. Quinn had to take a call, but she insisted she could let herself out.
It was Zoe who was pestering Quinn to see how her chat with Carter went, so Quinn offered some hopeful updates. However, Quinn had to get off the phone and concentrate on repairing her own marriage.
Quinn stood there looking pensive as she thought back on Carter’s guidance, but then Carter returned to break her trance.
Carter figured Quinn had already left, so he had already stripped down to his underwear. He needed his workout clothes to change into, so Quinn complimented Carter’s “nice everything” and tossed him his workout outfit.
At Forrester Creations on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) went on another tirade about how the hit-and-run driver should be locked up.
Thomas wondered how the culprit could just flee the scene without stopping or looking back. He felt the paramedics should’ve been called and that the outcome might’ve been different for Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero).
Thomas thought the paramedics might’ve been able to save Vinny – or at least they could’ve tried. Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) agreed about how tragic and horrible all of this was. Thomas was adamant about making sure justice was served. “Right, Liam?” Thomas asked.
Liam looked ill over all the guilt he was dealing with, but he agreed with Thomas. After Thomas exited, Hope called Liam out for keeping something from her. She knew something else had to be going on since Liam’s thoughtfulness had suddenly evaporated.
Liam had cut off all his sweet gestures and had bailed on their lunch date despite wanting so desperately to reconcile.
Hope insisted Liam just wasn’t himself, so Liam acknowledged Hope was right – that he definitely wasn’t himself. Hope mentioned how much Liam was missing the kids and being there as a family at the cabin. Liam admitted that those precious moments of normalcy are something he really values now.
Hope thought maybe Liam should come back to the cabin with her for a movie with the children. She thought they could all have some fun watching a movie and maybe play a game. Liam didn’t feel like that was a good idea and quickly headed for the door.
A frustrated Hope stopped Liam and wanted to know the truth about what was weighing him down. Hope pushed Liam to tell her what was wrong, so Liam stood there looking like he was ready to blurt something out.
