The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 30, reveals that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) pointed out that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) wasn’t home last night or this morning. Douglas wondered if that’s why Liam sent flowers – and then he learned Liam was staying with his dad right now.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) tried to act like Liam had an important job and was busy. He suggested it was best not to bombard Hope with a bunch of questions, but Hope said it was fine. Hope admitted she was taking some time apart from Liam right now, so Douglas thought maybe Daddy could move in.
Hope insisted she was still married to Liam, and Thomas agreed it didn’t work the way Douglas was thinking. Douglas finally understood that Liam and Hope were taking a time-out.
A message came in from Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), who was all set to take Douglas to the park. However, Douglas commented on how Mommy Hope looked sad before he left.
Later on Tuesday’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Hope reflected on some family pics on her phone since Liam had been messaging her to remind her of the good times.
Thomas wanted Hope to know that he didn’t push Douglas to ask Hope all those questions. He promised he really had changed and hoped that Hope believed him, so Hope insisted she did.
Hope and Thomas ended up chuckling over Douglas’ suggestion about Daddy moving in. As for Liam, Hope was still having a hard time moving past the pain of her husband’s betrayal. Thomas did his best to offer comfort and was sorry for the role he played in all this.
Hope argued that if it weren’t for what happened with Thomas, she would’ve been oblivious. She would’ve been completely unaware that Liam was still in love with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), which wasn’t any better.
Hope pushed Thomas to please stop apologizing for something that wasn’t his fault.
On B&B’s Tuesday, March 30 episode, Thomas maintained that all he wanted was Hope’s happiness – whether she wanted to get back together or if she’d had enough. He just wanted Hope to know Hope should count on him for anything she needed.
Meanwhile, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) talked to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about the issues in Hope’s marriage. Brooke hoped this time apart would be beneficial for Hope and Liam in the end.
Liam and Hope had a family, so Brooke had faith that they could get through this and was rooting for them to keep fighting.
Brooke shifted gears to Thomas and her concerns that he might use this opportunity to make his move. Ridge wasn’t pleased about Brooke not seeing the work Thomas had put in to change.
Ridge felt like Thomas deserved the benefit of the doubt, especially considering he’d fought his way back from his brain injury.
As Thomas eavesdropped outside the door, Brooke continued to stand against him. Although Brooke was willing to acknowledge the changes Thomas had made as a father to Douglas, she wanted him to stay away from her daughter.
Ridge wondered how Thomas could since he worked with Hope on the line and helped coparent Douglas.
Brooke felt Ridge had a point, but she circled back to Thomas’ feelings for Hope – which she still felt were an obsession. Cards on the table, Brooke insisted that if Thomas thought he could have a future with Hope, it “damn well” would never happen!
Thomas looked frustrated as he listened in on Brooke’s fierce warning.
