The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 18, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) made an eerie prediction about Hope’s future – one where he wouldn’t be by her side! Meanwhile, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) stopped Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) plan to be there for his brother.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt insisted Bill’s issues had to be about more than stress over work. He argued that Bill only acted that way when it came to family. Wyatt assumed that someone Bill loved must be in trouble – and that it must be something serious!
When Wyatt wondered if someone was sick, Bill mocked the idea by faking a cough and claiming it was him. Wyatt pushed Bill to come clean about his weird behavior, especially when it came to Liam. He felt like whatever he was imagining was far worse and just wanted Bill to spill.
Bill finally argued this was just about Liam still beating himself up over betraying Hope. Wyatt didn’t understand that since everything turned out fine. Bill insisted that things would indeed be fine – that he’d make sure of it.
He appreciated Wyatt’s concern for his brother, but he was adamant that Liam would move on and forget what happened.
Wyatt sought confirmation that this was really just about Liam struggling to forgive himself. Bill said that’s exactly what it was, so Wyatt offered to talk to Liam.
However, Bill pointed out that Liam tended to get upset when it talked about what happened. He felt like Wyatt should just let his dad handle this.
Bill vowed to do whatever he had to do and take every risk he had to take to protect his sons. After Wyatt was gone, Bill looked pensive as he had vivid flashbacks of the night Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) died. Bill stared out the window and thought back to how panicked Liam was in the aftermath.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) felt like rekindling things would be exactly what Hope and Liam needed. She hoped to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that Liam and Hope could use this alone time to start rebuilding their life together.
At the cabin on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Liam assured Hope that there was no pressure tonight. He just wanted to feel close and married again. Hope didn’t want to spend another night apart, so Liam realized she was indeed on board with lovemaking.
After Hope and Liam stripped down, they reconnected in some passionate moments and cuddled in front of the fire. Liam admitted he missed this – just knowing where he belonged and being where the outside world couldn’t get in the way.
Hope alluded to some of her previous insecurities, so Liam was sorry for making Hope doubt what they shared. Hope understood that terrible night was a mistake, but she assured Liam that it wasn’t the core of who he is.
After Hope called Liam a good man, he struggled to see himself that way anymore.
Liam talked about decisions having consequences and dropped a hint about “if you only knew,” which led Hope to question what it was she didn’t know.
After Liam covered by claiming it was just the guilt he felt, Hope thought they should just accept what happened and move on. She suggested it was the only way to move forward with their future.
Liam didn’t want Hope to ever doubt how much he loves her. “Even if there comes a day when I’m not by your side, I need you to not forget how I feel about you, OK?” Liam said.
After Hope promised she wouldn’t, Liam held Hope close and looked uneasy. He heard Bill’s voice in his head insisting that Vinny was dead and that Liam couldn’t tell anyone – certainly not Hope.
