The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Monday, August 16, teases that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) won’t be able to resist Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) motherly pull, so Steffy Forrester-Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will face her husband’s lies.
Now that Finn has acknowledged Sheila’s goodbye text with a heart emoji, he’s unleashed her maternal instincts – no matter how twisted they may be – even more. Sheila was ready to leave Los Angeles, but now she believes Finn loves her and wants to cultivate this relationship.
Of course, Sheila will know she has to play this just right. She has to draw Finn in slowly and avoid coming on too strong, but that’s why this text manipulation is perfect. Sheila can keep sending messages and keep convincing Finn to respond.
It’ll be simple for Finn to hide these interactions from Steffy, but it’ll also be risky. Finn promised he wouldn’t talk to Sheila again, but he’ll have conversations through their messages and leave his new wife out of the loop.
Steffy obviously wouldn’t approve if she knew Finn was letting Sheila reel him in like this, but Finn will feel like what Steffy doesn’t know won’t hurt her!
The more Finn talks to Sheila, the more he’ll feel like Sheila has been rehabilitated. Finn will see a side of Sheila that the Forresters can’t see, but that’s just because it’s the side Sheila wants to present.
While Finn lies to Steffy and makes sure his secret stays under wraps, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) will focus on their own secret.
Since Carter knows Quinn is the woman he wants, he’ll consider what it’d be like to go public and let the chips fall where they may.
Carter will want to move forward with a real relationship, but he’ll get that it could cost him everything. Quinn will think that should be enough to give Carter pause and make him truly consider what he’d be giving up.
Carter would lose his job and shatter what’s left of his connection to the Forresters if they knew he was still cozying up to Quinn in his spare time.
B&B spoilers say Carter will continue to mull over the possibility of going public with Quinn by his side, but there’ll be a game-changer within the next episode or two.
