On tonight’s The Good Doctor season 5 episode, 5 called, “Crazytown,” as per the ABC synopsis, “Dr. Park and Dr. Murphy treat an elderly Asian man brought to St. Bonaventure by his daughter after being the victim of a hate crime. In addition, Lea goes behind Shaun’s back to help raise his negative patient satisfaction scores.”

In tonight’s The Good Doctor episode, the staff are having a meeting with Salen. After the meeting, Salen congratulates Audrey on being in the top five but tells her that she should aim for higher. Then asks where Mateo is, her number one student, Audrey tells her that he was called away on a medical mission in Guatemala; Salen wants to know about extended absences in the future.

Shaun tells Lea that he had the lowest score in the whol surgical department, he made five people uncomfortable, seven patients said he talked weird and one woman was a little creeped out by his manner. The data reflects patients actual opinions, Shaun tells her that he will work on himself and improve his scores.

Audrey tells Asher about a case, Mrs. Castillo, she is from Guatemela, Mateo sent her there because they don’t have the equipment to deal with a bypass. She is happy to be there, she tells Dr. Lim she is happy to see the chief, she heard a lot about her.

Alex and Shaun are examining a man, Mr. Song, whose jaw is broke, his daughter wants to file a report, she says his fall was not an accident. All of a sudden, her father starts to go into distress, he is rushed into surgery. Marcus tells the team they need to find out if the man has an underlying cardiac problem.

Audrey is washing up, Salen walks in and tells her that she allowed Mateo to fly in an uninsured patient, and they are all supposed to be working together, one family.

Mrs. Castllo is in surgery all of her arteries are defective.

Morgan tells Alex that he should take her on a date, there is a cocktail party she wants to go to.

Out of surgery, Mr. Song argues with his daughter about filing a complaint, he is adamant that he doesn’t want to and she walks out frustrated. Once she leaves he has some sort of attack, Shaun checks his heart and tells him it is fine, but there is something wrong with his brain.

Mrs. Castillo is out of surgery, she has to have more surgery, she has a series of annuerysms and it is only a matter of time.

Sean calls Aaron, he is lat4e for the tux fitting. Aaron says he is Montana and is thinking of hunkering down there for a while.

Back at the hospital, Shaun is with Alex and tells Mr. Song that he has figured how to get rid of the tumour with florescent light. He might have some paralysis on his right side, but nothing else. Mr. Song says no. Alex explains that without the procedure he will have a year at most.

Audrey comes in to the hospital the next day and her patient, Mrs. Castillo, is gone. Marcus tells her that he transferred her to county hospital, Audrey reminds him that she is her patient and she is his boss. Marcus says it was the right all for this department, she will get the care she needs. She tells him that he is risking a patient’s life so he can crawl higher up Salen’s butt. Audrey says she is contacting county.

Emily, Mr. Song’s daughter, walks into a room where Shaun, Jordan and Alex are speaking and Shaun says a little too much, he says they are trying to save her father’s life when her father told her nothing.

Alex goes to find Emily and tells her that she should speak to her dad. He goes on to say that her dad is a fighter and he needs her to fight for him right now. Jordan goes to see Mr. Song and asks why he didn’t tell his daughter what he is going through. He is trying to protect her, he doesn’t want her to hurt, he needs to be strong for her.

Asher finds out that Audrey is doing Mrs. Casillo’s surgery at county and he wants to assist. She tells him that he has no priveledges there and it will make Salen upset. He tells her that he thinks she doesn’t know when Mateo is coming and he hates that she would put everything on the line for someone who wouldn’t do the same for her. She thanks him and tells him to neer give her advice again.

Emily is speaking to her father, they both look happier. Emily comes out of the room and says she knows everything, and she needs to support her father’s decision not to have the surgery.

Mr. Song has a seizure, Alex tells Emily the only thing they can do is put her father in a medically induced coma until the tumour kills him. Emily is the one that can change a decision regarding surgery, she says she doesn’t want to go against him. Shaun speaks up and says the only that is important is saving her dad’s life.

Emily returns much later and tells Shaun he was right, go ahead with the surgery.

Lea reads Shaun’s patient comments and score, she finds them troubling.

Salen asks Marcus if transferring Mrs. Castillo made him feel crappy, he admits it did. She asks him out to dinner, he says yes.

Audrey is sitting down by herself, she calls Mateo and gets his voicemail. She says if he is coming back for work, she will see him Thursday. If he is coming back for her, don’t.

Lea arrives home, Shaun bought her flowers. He tells her that he got a new batch of score and they are elevated and nobody said he was weird.
