Before we get to the music, we will still need to find out who won the four-way Knockout where two weeks ago one contestant from each team was saved by their coach, and they were: Emma Caroline, Devan Blake Jones, Savanna Woods, and Carolina Rial. The winner of the four-way Knockout is from Team Nick, Devan Blake Jones. Then, we move on to the live performances.

Team Kelly: Corey Ward singing, “Bruises,” by Lewis Capaldi.

Coaches Comments: Nick: “You continue to just blow us all away every time you get up here and sing. You have so much passion, we have been saying that from the beginning, we love that about you. What a way to kick off the live shows. One thing, sometimes that passion sacrificed some of the technique, stay in your lane and keep crushing it.” Kelly: “Forget technique, it’s all passion and I love that. It’s so hard, you can’t teach someone to be emotional, and it just exudes from your pores. It is like watching an actor and the best scene of the movie, you are a powerful singer and I am so glad that you are on my team.”

Team Kelly: Gihanna Zoe singing, “Always Remember Us This Way,” by Lady Gaga.

Coaches Comments: John: “We’ve heard you compared to Beyoncé and today even more than ever, you were channeling the queen B. The bravado, the elite level of professionalism, is just beyond your years and so impressive. Kelly: “I was tearing up at the end. I always get excited, when you work with someone and they do things that I can’t do, I get changed by that and you do. It’s so effortless, a painful angel, it is perfect. I think you have the biggest voice on the show this year, and you are 17.”

Team Kelly: Zae Romeo, “When I Look At You,” by Miley Cyrus.

Coaches Comments: Kelly: “It is so interesting, we have only once worked together and you just followed different performers on my team and I actually think you are a beautiful mix of how Corey sounds and Gihanna. I love the soul and the rawness to the table, great job.”

Team Kelly: Kenzie Wheeler singing, “Red Dirt Road,” by Brooks & Dunn.

Coaches Comments: Blake: “Kenzie, last time I spoke to you I learned an important lesson, I said to you that I thought you were going to win the show and this has been used against me so many times that I deeply regret saying that to you now. And it only goes to show on this who, that being honest doesn’t pay off. That was a good job and I hope Nick doesn’t win.” Kelly: “I love you and I also love that you are one of those singers that love singing country music. I challenged you and you lit up. And you not only rose to the occasion but did some more stuff on top of it. I think you are a fantastic performer; I can’t wait to see if you are a songwriter as well. I am so blessed, and it is the best block I have used on this show.”

Team John: Ryleigh Modig singing, “Driver’s License,” by Olivia Rodrigo.

Coaches Comments: John: “So special, you put so much heart and soul and sadness and beauty and emotion into the song. I was just sitting here thinking I am so lucky, this is our first performance together and then it was so stunning and gorgeous, thank you for joining my team.

Team John: Zania Alake singing, “Dangerous Woman,” by Ariana Grande.

Coaches Comments: John: “I always thought you were a great singer, but tonight was extra level star power. The way you approached the song, you embodied that dangerous woman to the fullest, it was sultry, sexy, beautiful, powerful, confident. It was so good Zania, I loved it.”

Team Nick: Devan Blake is singing, “Shape of My Heart,” by Sting.

Coaches Comments: Nick: “First off, congratulations you won the four-way Knockout and that is unbelievable. A one-chair turn and now you are here on the live shows and playoffs, that is just unbelievable. This song makes me so happy that you are singing it, and smiling and still in this competition. You should be so happy with that performance, I am too, well done.”

Team Nick: Rachel Mac is singing, “Rainbow,” by Kacey Musgraves.

Coaches Comments: Blake: “I thought that Team Kelly and Team Legend had done a good job, but between Nick and my time, I think the other two should go back to the drawing board. With you and what my team is about to do, shut the door.” Nick: “You are such a special artist and born for this stage, that performance shows it. I love hearing you hear that song and can’t wait to hear you sing more because I know you will.”

Team Blake: Jordan Matthew Young is singing, “Gold Dust Woman,” by Fleetwood Mac.

Coaches Comments: Kelly: “Oh my gosh you are way too cool to be on Blake’s team. You so rock ‘n roll, very soulful, very alternative, it was the right amount of mystery, the huge notes, it was so cool. You are an incredible talent, that was really well done.” Blake: “That was literally a breath of fresh air for tonight, there is nobody that does what you do in this competition. Bringing down the thunder buddy, excellent.”

Team Blake: Anna Grace is singing, “Let Her Go,” by Passenger.

Coaches Comments: Blake: “I just, I mean, nobody tonight has sung with so much artistry and finesse and control, and calmness and confidence. You are unbelievable, I am glad that I had a chance to work with you, do good.”

Team Blake: Pete Mroz is singing, “We Belong,” by Pat Benatar.

Coaches Comments: Blake: “I obviously have a special place in my heart for you, we were literally in the trenches together twenty-five years ago. Fast forward twenty fives years later and you still have the same raw talent, you deserve to be here, great job.”

Team Blake: Cam Anthony is singing, “Take Me To Church,” by Hozier.

Coaches Comments: John: “Every time I hear Cam sing it breaks my heart that Nick would use his block in such a way that he harmed me and didn’t help Cam. Cam, you are phenomenal, I see such a great future for you. So much potential, it is so impressive. Blake: “I promised that I would keep the lane open, and the rest was up to you. I have never had more people ask me about an artist on this show in twenty-some seasons, you could be the first superstar on this show.”

THE END!
