The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that desperation and heartbreak could drive Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) to make some bad decisions. Y&R fans know Abby’s looking forward to starting a family with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), but it isn’t happening as fast as she’d like.
Abby’s already getting sensitive anytime the topic of other people’s children comes up.
Chance sees no reason why Abby can’t get pregnant since she’s done it before. He’s always quick to offer reassurance and feels it’s perfectly normal for it to take some time.
Of course, this is Y&R writers’ way of offering some red flags. They’re warning viewers about the major trouble Abby and Chance will face as they work to have kids.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say a serious marriage crisis is coming up for Abby and Chance in the weeks ahead. It makes sense that Abby will learn she can’t get pregnant again – and it’ll probably be connected to some earlier miscarriage complications.
Then, it becomes a matter of what Abby and Chance will do next.
It would be very un-Chance-like for Chance to suddenly bail on Abby after this difficult news. “Supportive” is practically Chance’s middle name! Chance is the kind of guy who will be there for Abby no matter what. If that means pursuing other options to have a child, that’s fine.
Even if they never had children of their own, Chance could probably deal with that, too.
In other words, Chance isn’t willingly going to throw away his relationship with Abby or make her feel guilty about something beyond her control. However, Abby’s bound to be an emotional wreck and may blame herself even when she shouldn’t.
Abby may feel like she locked Chance into a marriage with someone who can’t grant his greatest wish.
In a recent Y&R episode, Abby pointed out that Chance humors her a lot, so he argued that he just likes making Abby happy. That led Abby to insist that Chance should never make her happy at his own expense.
Abby even forced Chance to make that a resolution for the new year, so Y&R gave fans a huge hint.
Abby’s going to feel like Chance would be happier with another wife who could give him children, but that’s not what Chance will want. Chance will want to stand by Abby, so now we’re getting to the heart of the crisis that’s brewing.
Under the circumstances, we could see Abby push Chance away. Just how far will Abby go to convince Chance he shouldn’t be with her? Could Abby cheat on Chance with someone else to convince him?
It’s easy to imagine Abby feeling like this is the only way to drive Chance in the opposite direction.
Abby will be in a distraught, terrible state and won’t be thinking clearly. She may feel like hurting Chance a little now will save him a lot of heartbreak later. Could Abby betray Chance in another man’s bed? It seems like a reasonable story route to take, so let’s consider whose bed Abby might land in.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) has some romantic woes of his own coming up. Nate will feel like he’s getting what he wants when Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) sleeps with him and tries to focus on their future together.
However, Elena just won’t be able to shake her feelings for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
That’ll become a bigger problem down the road and will inevitably leave Nate frustrated. Elena and Devon may ultimately reunite, which could leave Nate heartbroken and poised for a hookup with his ex, Abby.
Nate might use Abby to cope while Abby uses Nate to convince Chance to move on. The timing seems perfect when you consider how both stories might collide for trouble.
