The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will put Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to the test. Rey still isn’t sure what to believe when it comes to all the poisoning drama.
He’s still leaning toward Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as the guilty party, but it’s easy to see his suspicions regarding Chelsea are growing.
At some point, Rey may have to accept that his hatred for Adam is clouding his judgment. Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will keep trying to convince Rey that they’re on the same side.
That’s true on some level since both Chelsea and Rey hate Adam, but they’re not working toward the same goal of justice right now.
Rey is someone who takes pride in upholding the law and doesn’t like it when he has to bend or break the rules. There have certainly been exceptions over the years, but Rey’s always the kind of guy who’s going to want justice first and foremost – even if it means Adam doesn’t land behind bars.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will get Chelsea’s help to set a trap for Adam – one involving Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and a bogus serious illness. Rey will think this is just the thing to draw Adam out of hiding, but he’ll also be setting a bit of a trap for Chelsea here.
We’ll see Rey observe Chelsea’s actions and try to get a better sense of what she might be hiding. What happens if Rey ultimately becomes fully convinced of Chelsea’s guilt? Rey will have to shift the investigation in another direction and focus on taking Chelsea down next.
That could mean working with the enemy to make it happen! This might be an intriguing opportunity for Rey and Adam to team up. Perhaps Adam could allow himself to be arrested as part of a sting for Chelsea, or at least this plot could form after Adam’s stuck in a holding cell.
Adam doesn’t want Chelsea to suffer, but he knows she needs help – and this may be the only way she’ll get it.
If Chelsea thinks she’s won, then she’ll inevitably lower her guard and trip herself up. As other Y&R news and updates come in, we’ll keep you posted.
