The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will keep his guard up during the week of January 4-8. Kyle will work to protect himself and what he holds dear, so Summer Newman (Hunter King) and their jobs are high on the list.
Although Kyle doesn’t seem to view Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as a real threat, he may proceed with caution when it comes to Summer’s sneaky new rival.
However, Kyle’s plan to safeguard his interests may also include a strategy at Jabot – perhaps some way to make sure the company stays at the top of their game.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’s someone other than Sally that Kyle needs to be worried about – and that’s Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Y&R fans know Billy and Kyle constantly clashed back when Billy was at Jabot. It was a huge relief for both of them when Billy finally resigned and moved on with his life.
Now Billy’s found a new passion to explore since he’s running Chancellor Communications with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Unfortunately, Billy’s proven that he’s willing to get down in the mud – and even enjoys being down there!
Billy never stays out of trouble for long, so look for him to make more of it on January 8. That’s when Billy will swoop in and steal Kyle’s idea. There’ll be some way for Billy to capitalize on Kyle’s advantage, so he may make a deal for Chancellor Communications before Jabot can sign on the dotted line.
Although Jabot’s bread and butter is cosmetics, there are certainly still ways the company uses media in marketing and branding. Jabot and Chancellor Communications could still be in competition in some sense as a result.
There could be some overlap that allows Billy to take Kyle’s media-based plan and use it as his own – with a few tweaks just to say he made it a better one.
Maybe Sally could even drop a hint to Billy with the intention of stirring the pot somehow. Sally always has an angle and might do Billy a favor to get one in return. Regardless, Kyle should be livid after Billy makes a dirty move, which is bound to reignite a fierce feud!
