The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, April 30 Recap - Nick's Kansas Trip to Bring Back Adam, Faith Kidney Match Found

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, April 30, reveals that Amanda Sinclair (Karla Mosley) will be on cloud nine following some hot moments in bed with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

Devon will be shirtless nearby as he explains that he originally planned to take Amanda to a dive and listen to some jazz, but Amanda will be fine with the Plan B of staying in for steaminess.

Amanda will be glad they found their way back to each other – and Devon will be happy about that, too. He’ll acknowledge everything Amanda’s dealing with due to Sutton Ames’ (Jack Landron) case, but he’ll promise Amanda never has to be alone again.

Afterward, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will show up and point out that Amanda ignored her text, so they’re going to do this face to face. After Imani meets Devon, she’ll insist she was hoping to talk to Amanda in private.

Amanda will argue that Devon has been with her every step of the way, which Imani won’t be pleased about. She’ll think a little discretion would’ve been nice when it came to the case.

Devon will think Imani should be grateful that Amanda is even giving her the time of day since Imani took out a restraining order on her. However, Amanda will insist she can handle this.

Once Devon leaves, Amanda will declare that she’s not intimidated by Imani. She’ll mention Imani’s warning via text, but Imani will argue that Amanda still has no idea what she’s walking into.

Imani will insist Amanda is useful to Sutton right now, but she won’t be part of the family tree when this trial is over. She’ll add that Amanda will always be the “bastard child” and “the family shame.”

Imani will be looking out for Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) as well since she’ll know Sutton’s going to toss Amanda aside and break Naya’s heart by forcing her to do the same.

Amanda will think Naya can decide for herself, but Imani will feel like Naya will do whatever Sutton asks. “Because Sutton Ames is the last person you want to cross,” Imani will warn.

Amanda will be unsettled over the declaration and will demand to know if Imani thinks Sutton is guilty of murdering her father.

Imani will suggest that Sutton is a lot of things, but he’s definitely not a murderer. Amanda will think Imani is spinning this whole scenario because she feels threatened. She won’t understand why Imani is so against her becoming part of the family.

“Because you’re not a part of my family! You don’t belong!” Imani will shout. Amanda won’t think this is about losing Naya’s love since nothing would change that for their mother. She’ll suspect there’s something else Imani is afraid of losing.

Amanda will accuse Imani of acting like Sutton’s all cold and calculating because she’s afraid Amanda will grow to respect her. She won’t think Imani wants to share Sutton’s attention.

Imani will insist she’s trying to save Amanda from embarrassment and humiliation, but she’ll add that they can make this personal if Amanda wants. She’ll tell Amanda to drop the case and leave her family alone.

At the hospital, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will reassure Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) before Faith drifts off to sleep. Once Sharon steps outside Faith’s room, she’ll get some troubling news from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Nick will explain that if the steroids can’t restore kidney function, then Faith may have to be on dialysis for the rest of her life.

Sharon will immediately tear up and insist they can’t let that happen. Nick will admit the alternative is a living donor who has the same rare blood type. Sharon will wish she could donate, but she won’t think she can due to her medical history.

Nick will insist he’s not compatible either, so he’ll note that Nate instructed him to get in touch with all their family members to try finding a match. Sharon will be ready to get started on making some calls.

“Someone in the family has got to be able to help,” Sharon will insist on Friday’s Young and the Restless episode.

Later, Sharon will insist that there’s no match so far. She’ll tell Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that the only person who is still an unknown is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). When Victor walks in, he’ll admit he’s not compatible either. “But I know who is,” Victor will add.

After Victor reveals that it’s Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) off screen, Nick will flip out. “You’re telling me that Adam has the same blood type as Faith?!” Nick will ask angrily.

Victor will confirm it since Adam lost a lot of blood when he was shot. He’ll remember the doctors saying it was very lucky that they had a supply of that rare blood type.

Nick will rant about how the one person who could help Faith is on the run. Sharon will pipe up that if Nick wants someone to blame, then blame Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). “Forgive me for not jumping on the ‘Adam is innocent’ bandwagon!” Nick will snap.

Nikki will insist arguing isn’t going to solve anything. She’ll think they need a way to find Adam, but Victor will think Sharon can help with that.

Victor will mention that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) said Adam called Sharon, but she’ll argue that it was brief and untraceable. “And you have not spoken to him since?” Victor will push Sharon to confirm.

Nick will request a moment alone with Sharon and will push her to come clean. Sharon will confess Adam called her from an unknown number and didn’t say where he was.

She’ll tell Nick that Adam asked for a favor – to be able to reach out in the future and get updates on Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) as well as Chelsea.

Even though it was from a burner, Nick will insist those can be traced if Adam’s still using the same phone. Sharon will gladly give Nick the number since she’d do anything to help find Adam.

After Sharon checks in with Faith, she’ll think back on how Adam said he was home yet somewhere new.

At the ranch on Friday’s Y&R episode, Nick will pass the phone number Sharon gave him along to Victor, who won’t want to give it to the cops. Victor will insist they need Adam’s cooperation to save Faith.

Sharon will call moments later to reveal the “home yet somewhere new” comment Adam made. Victor’s employee will get a ping on Adam’s number in Kansas, but he won’t be on the farm.

Sharon will mention how pivotal it was for Adam to revisit the farm and work through the night AJ Montalvo died. She’ll contemplate where Adam might go to heal since he sounded remorseful on the phone.

Victor will note that the farmhands were let go from the Montalvo place, so it’s now deserted. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will think that sounds like a good place to start looking.

Back at the hospital, Nick will fill Faith in on how he has to go away for a day or two to find someone to help her.

In the waiting area, Nick will let Sharon know he’s going to track Adam down in Kansas. If Adam isn’t at the Montalvo place, Nick will plan to keep searching until he finds him.

He’ll push Sharon to stay there for Faith’s sake, but she’ll wonder how Nick will convince Adam to come back. Nick will argue that he can appeal to Adam’s decent side – the side that risked all to save Faith after her accident.

Sharon will ask what Nick will do if Adam still won’t agree. “I’m gonna knock his ass out and drag him back here. Whatever it takes, I will bring Adam home,” Nick will promise on Friday’s Young and the Restless episode.

Over with Summer Newman (Hunter King), she’ll find Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) waiting for her with a romantic setup in their hotel suite.

Summer will bring Kyle up to speed on Faith’s kidney crisis. She’ll want Kyle to help her take her mind off things she can’t control, so he’ll offer Champagne and his company.

Kyle will want to thank Summer for being his teammate and accomplice. He’ll gush about how Summer didn’t give up on him. Summer will acknowledge she had some insecurities regarding Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Harrison Locke, but she’ll be glad to focus on her future with Kyle now.

After making love, Summer will hit the shower while Kyle answers the door to Tara. Since this is Tara’s last night in town, she won’t want to leave anything unsaid.

Tara will think they deserve a proper goodbye and will offer a parting gift of sorts. She’ll text Kyle a photo of their son, so Kyle will admit Harrison is the cutest thing he’s ever seen in his life.

Once Tara is gone and Summer emerges from the shower, Kyle will fill his fiancée in on Tara’s visit. Summer will be glad Kyle was able to get closure with Tara and will comment on the Harrison photo. While Summer’s off ordering dinner, Kyle will gaze pensively at Harrison’s picture.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will cause more mayhem before long, so Kyle had better enjoy the peace with Summer while it lasts!
