The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 8, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will face Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) fierce warning. Y&R fans know Amanda saw Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) with her other daughter on Christmas Eve.
That was Imani, who’ll be riled up and ready to protect her mom soon enough.
Naya bailed on the meeting Amanda set up with her at The Grand Phoenix recently. It was a big disappointment since Amanda’s eager to get some answers about her past. However, Imani shows up at the end of Thursday’s episode and lets Amanda know she needs to stay away from her mother.
This confrontation will continue as Friday’s episode gets underway. Amanda will assure Imani that she meant no harm and just wants to talk. Of course, Imani doesn’t know or trust Amanda at this point. She’ll just know Naya is terribly upset, so Imani will warn Amanda to back off NOW.
Amanda might hope that Imani could offer some answers instead. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Imani will be in the mood to share. Even if Imani knows things about Naya’s history, she’ll probably just blast Amanda for interfering in their lives and insist they never want to hear from her again.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will see a bright future for herself with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Since Elena booked a suite for lovemaking, she’ll still be feeling pretty good about what happened behind closed doors.
However, Elena’s mood will shift all over again when she spots Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) at Crimson Lights. Elena will face that familiar sting of what she’s lost and how much pain she caused.
Even so, Elena will feel like she needs to move on. She’ll once again apologize to Devon for hurting him, but she’ll suggest that she intends to let go and keep looking ahead.
When Elena asks about Amanda, Devon will assure her that they’re just friends. Of course, Elena will sincerely doubt that Amanda and Devon’s relationship will stay platonic. We doubt it too based on some of Devon’s steamy dreams!
Nevertheless, there’ll be a sadness in Devon and Elena’s eyes as they walk away from this encounter. There’ll be a sense that maybe things aren’t quite as over as they seem!
In the meantime, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will lash out over a move Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) makes. Billy will ruin Kyle’s plans with some sort of takeover – and we know there’s a scene coming up of an angry Kyle on a plane set.
Since Kyle wants to join Summer Newman (Hunter King) on her trip to LA, maybe Billy will get to the Jabot private jet first and cause drama. There could be a feud over whether Billy will use it to take Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) off on some adventure or let Kyle and Summer use it instead.
This will mark the beginning of a revived feud between Kyle and Billy. Their war will heat up in some surprising new ways in the weeks ahead, so don’t miss all the action. As other Y&R news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
