The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, October 1, tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) baby battle will explode while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) catches Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) looking cozy.
In their hotel suite, Tessa and Mariah will have a heated argument about some important issues happening between them. On Thursday, Mariah’s upset to learn Tessa told Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about her desire to have a baby of their own, so she calls Tessa out over the betrayal. That means the baby drama will heat back up in Friday’s Y&R episode.
Of course, Tessa may argue that she’s just trying to handle all this as best as she can. She’s not a mental health professional and didn’t know how to deal with it when Mariah presented the baby idea. Tessa might suggest that deep down, Mariah knows it’s not a healthy move right now.
However, Mariah will act like Tessa and Sharon are ganging up on her. She’ll feel like Tessa shouldn’t have been off discussing a private matter with her mom, but Tessa is genuinely concerned about Mariah’s well-being. That obviously has to trump everything else, even Mariah’s feelings.
Tessa might also feel like Mariah’s punishing her for not being on board with the baby plan. Mariah will still be hung up on the thought of having a child, so there’ll definitely be more baby talk on Friday. Tessa and Mariah will clash over the next chapter of their future together, but Mariah really needs to get some therapy before she does anything else.
Over with Nick, he’ll walk in on Phyllis and Jack having a warm moment. It could bring Nick’s insecurities to the surface and make him wonder if Phyllis will ever really put Jack behind her.
Regardless, Nick will have more important things on his mind. He’ll need to fill Phyllis in on all the dirty Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) he learned in New Jersey – and they’ll both need to head for Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) wedding along with Jack.
Finally, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will release all her rage. She’ll continue to fume over Nick digging without her approval and won’t like the fact that Ashland was keeping another huge secret.
Thursday’s details of Ashland’s past life and faked death will still leave Victoria pretty shaken up on Friday’s show. It sounds like the week will wind down with some explosive scenes, so don’t miss what’s in store.
