The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was happy. He and Summer Newman (Hunter King) decided to set their wedding plans, with couple’s growth allowing Skyle to mature in recent months.
However, a call from Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) threw cold water on Kyle’s optimistic outlook. Her tell about Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) outburst sparked the smartphone outreach.
Tara was upset because Ashland never spoke to her like that before. Of course he had no reason to because he wasn’t previously aware that she was with Kyle when Mealor’s character was in the Big Apple.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was thrown by Ashland’s request that he increase his bid for Cyaxares. The Moustache had no intention of doing so, which led to Ashland calling both Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in front of him at Society.
However, Ashland later wanted to nix Victoria’s second chance win. He tells Victor that at the Newman Ranch, citing Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) latest legal challenge.
Ashland’s visit leads to an unexpected event. Victor watches Burgi’s character clutch his chest, indicating a heart crisis is in effect. Images of Victor’s heart attack at the Colonnade Room are evoked for hardcore fans as well.

Ashland might drop dead at the Ranch, or perish before he’s able to get medical care. If so, that wouldn’t be very soapy. The drama wouldn’t be extended, eliminating numerous possibilities.
Assuming that Y&R isn’t writing out Burgi’s character, Ashland will survive his coronary event and live to yell another day. However, his physical state will surely result in Tara needing to attend to him.

Here’s hoping that Ashland lives and that the answer to Harrison’s paternity question is answered as part of the medical drama. The limbo state that Kyle and Summer have been living in needs to be advanced.
It feels as though Ashland’s chest grab is the plot vehicle that will test Tara’s claim that Kyle is her son’s biological father. That seeming fact should be proven or disproven shortly, with many consequences to follow. Among them are what direction Kyle and Summer want to go.
