The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott (Hunter King) will arrive in Tuscany after their offscreen wedding, so Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) nuptials will steal the spotlight.
Of course, Y&R viewers have heard a lot about Summer and Kyle’s civil ceremony.
It was just meant to be a simple and elegant affair for a tiny group of loved ones. Even so, there was a ton of talk and buildup when it came to the “Skyle” wedding.
Summer and Kyle fans are no doubt feeling rather cheated over the happy couple tying the knot offscreen.
It might be different if the show didn’t have Michael Mealor and Hunter King back, but the popular Y&R stars will indeed be featured for multiple episodes during Victoria’s wedding extravaganza.
Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) will be featured as well, so it’s a shame we didn’t actually get to see him serve as the ring bearer – nor did we get to see Summer and Kyle say “I do.”
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) gush over the “Skyle” wedding in the past tense on the October 7 episode.
Nikki and Victor have plenty of good things to say about the nuptials, but it’s still a bummer that viewers weren’t treated to seeing the special event!
The show apparently wants to devote all their time to Victoria and Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) wedding, which is also coming up.
On the bright side, Kyle and Summer will come together for some romantic moments in Tuscany starting October 12.
Victoria may be a bit of an attention hog when it comes to the nuptials, but Summer and Kyle will be happy to help celebrate.
They’ll have a chance to mix and mingle with everyone else working to make sure this wedding actually happens.
There won’t be anyone more committed to that goal than Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who’ll plan to ignore any lingering doubts and officially make Ashland her husband.
“Skyle” fans may be disappointed over the skipped offscreen ceremony, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Summer will still be part of the upcoming storyline.
