The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, December 6, tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will object to having a welcome home party while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) have a showdown over Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
For starters, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be over the moon about having Chance back in her life. She’ll be glad Chance has the opportunity to raise Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor and resume their happily ever after as a family.
Abby will point out that her father is excited for them as well. In fact, Victor will want to throw a big homecoming bash to celebrate Chance’s return.
Although that’ll be a sweet gesture, it’ll create some awkwardness for Chance. He’s been through a lot and won’t really be in a party sort of mood, especially since he’s still grieving the loss of all his friends and colleagues.
However, Chance adores Abby and won’t want to disappoint her or anyone else who’s eager to see him. Abby’s been through a lot as well, so she may convince Chance this will help them relax and kick off their new chapter together.
Over with Victor, he’ll deliver a warning about the cost of protecting “Billy Boy.” Victor will know Victoria’s determined to act as a shield for her ex, but he’ll think she needs to cut it out before she goes down with him. Trouble follows Billy wherever he goes, so Victor will want Victoria to remember that.
Victor may argue that if Victoria’s motive for bidding on ChancComm is purely about saving Billy, she’d be better off letting Newman Media have it. Of course, Victoria may point out Victor taught her to be a better businesswoman than that.
Victoria will intend on doing things her way at Newman-Locke and will only need Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) approval, not her overbearing father’s. Meanwhile, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will cozy up to Billy at Society’s bar and try to get him to let his guard down. Billy surely won’t trust Sally, but they’ll have an intriguing encounter anyway.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will recruit Sally to do some spying later in the week, but let’s talk about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in the meantime. She’ll do some party prep for Chance and will most likely worry about the continued Newman family drama.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) doesn’t like feeling like he’s on the outside of the Newman clan, especially since all he ever wanted to do was watch out for Victoria. His motives were purely about protecting his sister, but Victoria and Ashland certainly didn’t approve of his investigation in Jersey.
Nick will decide he’d better try to make peace with Ashland if he’s going to keep rebuilding his relationship with Victoria. Ashland may not be as willing to do that as Nick’s hoping, so Y&R fans can expect another argument to break out. We’ll provide updates as other Y&R news pops up.
