The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, June 21 Recap – Tara Orders Summer Cancel Wedding, Set Kyle Free – Sally’s Outrage

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, June 21, reveals that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will order Summer Newman (Hunter King) to cancel her wedding and set Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) free. As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll use fake outrage to cover up her role in Summer’s tricky situation.

At the Chancellor mansion on Monday’s Y&R episode, a shadow will continue to hover over Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). When Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) appears and inadvertently wakes her up, Abby will ask if someone was just there.

Abby will ultimately brush it off as dreaming and ask if Nina has any news on Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz).

Nina will admit that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) is going to follow a lead and get in touch with them soon – maybe even tonight. Sure enough, Christine will stop by eventually with some updates for Abby, Nina and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).

Christine will admit she was able to get in touch with Chance’s superior using her contacts at the justice department. She’ll confirm that the superior heard from Chance after the dropped call, so that’ll be a relief for Abby.

Mariah will wonder why Chance hasn’t been in touch with Abby again if he’s still in touch with his superior. Christine will gather that Chance is closing in on his contact and being forced to stay deeper undercover.

Christine will argue that Chance may not be able to reach out as much, but Abby will be glad to know Chance might be home sooner rather than later.

Since Christine will mention that Chance was originally sent to Michigan, Abby will worry herself sick looking up organized crime and domestic terror organizations there.

Mariah will distract Abby by getting her to play a song for the baby, so Abby’s spirits will be lifted. After Mariah and Nina step out, Abby will get back on her laptop while someone lurks outside and watches through the window.

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will tell Tara that he ordered some books on how children grieve. He’ll want to know how to help Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) cope when Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) dies.

Kyle will be glad Tara didn’t take Harrison back to New York and force him to watch on the sidelines. Tara will insist she could never do that to Kyle or Harrison.

After they discuss Tara potentially working with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman), talk will turn to Grandpa Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) fast bond with Harrison. Tara will also love the idea of Harrison having a big family to support him.

At The Grand Phoenix, Summer will demand to know what kind of self-serving deal Sally made with Tara. Sally will play dumb when Summer explains that Angelina Marchetti made her an offer for the creative director position.

Sally will pretend she’s irritated that everything she wants is falling right into Summer’s lap.

Summer will remain suspicious since she didn’t express the slightest bit of interest in this to anyone. However, Sally will rant at Summer for rubbing in her victory. She’ll sarcastically insist she’s SO happy for Summer and ask if she’s satisfied before stomping off.

When Summer makes it back to the Abbott mansion, she’ll seem rattled. Summer will push Kyle for a private conversation in the pool house or perhaps just a walk.

Before they can step out, Tara will appear and urge Kyle to go hear the new song Harrison made up before bed. That’ll give Tara a chance to grill Summer about the Marchetti offer, which Summer didn’t accept.

Summer will add that Kyle has a right to know about Tara’s threat, so Tara will hope Summer has the decency to wait until morning. She’ll push Summer to at least give Kyle one more night with his son.

Tara will plan to take Harrison and never look back, but Summer will insist there’s no need to leave.

However, Tara will assume Summer’s going to frame her as manipulative – maybe even in front of her son. Summer will finally relent and suggest they can just pretend this never happened.

Summer will assure Tara that she’s not a threat to her, but Tara will maintain that she wants stability for Harrison. To Tara, that’ll mean two parents in a loving supportive relationship.

Tara will contend that it’ll be easy to rekindle things with Kyle, especially now that she’s single. She’ll add that she’s the one who ended their romance, not Kyle.

Summer will fire back that Tara is delusional and won’t think their fling in the Hamptons compares to decades of love.

Tara will counter that first loves aren’t meant to last, but Summer will think her relationship with Kyle is an exception.

When Summer mentions something about “even if” she did accept the Marchetti offer, Tara will realize she didn’t actually turn it down. Summer simply asked for time to think about it.

That’ll give Tara the green light to make even more demands. Tara will insist that Summer needs to leave the continent and set Kyle free. “Cancel the wedding, call off the engagement, tell him it’s over… Is that direct enough for you?” Tara will ask.

Summer will fume over Tara’s plan to take advantage of Kyle’s broken heart and manipulate him – just like she did in New York. She’ll think Tara has found a “fantastic Plan B” and is only interested in Kyle for his bank account as well as his CEO title.

Tara will insist her feelings for Kyle are genuine and will maintain that one of them is leaving. Summer just gets to choose whether it’s herself or Tara and Harrison.

After Summer calls Tara an “utter bitch,” Tara will guess that Summer came to call her bluff. She’ll make it clear that it was no empty threat and that for Kyle to be all in, Summer has to be “all out.”

When Kyle returns, Tara will excuse herself for a walk. Kyle will see that Summer is visibly shaken, but she’ll blame it on work again and insist she can handle this on her own.

In her suite, Summer will call Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and leave a voicemail begging to talk first thing in the morning.

In Ashland’s hotel room, he’ll admit Victoria has made a compelling argument for the merger. Ashland will wonder if it’ll be the last time he sees Victoria if he says no.

Victoria will assure Ashland that she enjoys his company and how they understand each other. She’ll confess that she’ll miss Ashland when he’s gone and will get that he needs time to think about this.

Ashland will want Victoria to stick around a little longer, but she’ll insist on heading out and giving him time to ruminate alone. Down in the lobby, Victoria will run into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and reluctantly agree to sit down for a drink.

It won’t take long for the conversation to turn contentious over Ashland, so they’ll part ways on a tense note.

Afterward, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will sit at the bar with Billy, who’ll think Victoria is up to something when it comes to Ashland. Lily will trust Billy’s instincts and feel like they should take his alarm bells seriously.

At Crimson Lights, Ashland will think it’s fate that he keeps running into Victoria. He’ll confess he was planning to get strong black coffee and stay up late doing some serious thinking.

After seeing Victoria again, Ashland will declare that he knows exactly what he wants. He’ll think it’s a good idea to be proactive about shaping the future of Locke Communications Group.

Ashland will also love the opportunity to work with Victoria, so he’ll let her know he’s interested in her offer. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland and Victoria’s connection will bring more shockers, so stay tuned to Y&R!
