The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, June 28, tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will face an unexpected twist while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) does Summer Newman (Hunter King) a big favor. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also deal with a crushing loss, so let’s discuss the gripping drama ahead.
For starters, Sally’s in for a huge surprise on Monday’s Y&R episode. There’ll be some news that Sally didn’t see coming, so what might that be?
Sally fully expects to score Summer’s spot running JCV, so she’d be surprised if Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) gave it to someone else instead!
Lauren could at least start a search for the right person and leave Sally worried she won’t even be considered.
Of course, this could be Sally’s chance to pipe up and pitch herself for the position. She could even suggest doing it on a trial basis – just so she can prove she can handle the responsibility.
Whatever the case, Sally is a great schemer who always has another trick up her sleeve. If Monday’s surprise involves a setback, Sally certainly won’t let it keep her down for long.
Across town, Summer will hope Billy’s willing to do her a favor. She’ll make a special request that Billy surely won’t have a problem with, especially since it should be good for business.
Perhaps Summer will ask Billy to run a ChancComm story announcing her new role as the creative director of Marchetti.
Summer might hope this will make things official and convince Kyle to back off, but he won’t be ready to surrender just yet. Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will offer sympathy, but Kyle will bail on her so he can fight for Summer one last time.
There’ll be some emotional moments as Kyle pleads for their future, but Summer will argue that they simply don’t have one anymore.
Kyle will struggle with a crushing sense of loss as Summer sticks to her plan to end this engagement. Naturally, Tara will hope she can fill the gaping hole Summer leaves in Kyle’s heart!
