The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 3, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be in the storm cellar on the Montalvo property when he hears a noise.
After arming himself with a crowbar, he’ll get under the staircase and prepare to attack the intruder. Adam will nearly bash Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in the head before wondering “what the hell” he’s doing there.
After Nick explains Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) dire kidney situation and the fact that Adam is the only one in the family with that rare blood type, he’ll insist on taking Adam back to Genoa City.
Adam will sympathize with Nick as a father, but he’ll be unwilling to risk his freedom. He’ll push Nick to find another donor, but Nick will insist that could take years.
Adam will rant about Nick viewing him as an irredeemable monster and will get Nick to admit he believes Adam indeed poisoned Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). However, Nick won’t want to talk about any of that. He’ll only be focused on Faith and will plan to do whatever he has to do for his daughter’s sake.
In the midst of this argument, the wind will be rattling the windows as the storm picks up outside. There’ll be a tornado in the area, so Adam will insist they can’t fly out in this weather.
Nick will argue with Adam and will keep trying to get him to agree to come home for Faith, which will actually be for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) based on how Nick sells it.
Nick won’t think Adam’s going to turn his back on Sharon when she needs him most. He’ll offer to help Adam escape after the surgery, but Adam will wonder why he should trust Nick.
Nevertheless, Nick will insist that the one thing they have in common is their love for being dads. Nick will appeal to Nick as a fellow father and push Adam to make this deal.
As the storm continues to pick up, Adam will finally relent. He’ll agree to head back to Genoa City with Nick and get tested to see if he can indeed be Faith’s kidney donor. Just as Nick and Adam are about to leave the storm cellar, the tornado will slam the door shut and leave Nick unable to open it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam and Nick will be trapped, but so Adam will insist they aren’t going anywhere – at least not now. “That is not an option!” Nick will shout in Monday’s Y&R episode.
Back in Genoa City on The Young and the Restless, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will arrive home from her trip and get the horrifying news about Faith.
Mariah will learn Adam is the only match in the family and will grumble about it, but Sharon will tear up and push Mariah to lay off since she’s trying to stay positive.
Unfortunately, Faith’s test results won’t be good. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will inform Sharon that if there are no signs of improvement soon and a living donor isn’t found, then dialysis is a real possibility.
Elena will get that it’s not what Sharon wants, but she’ll focus on the importance of saving Faith’s life since finding a donor with such a rare blood type could take years.
Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will also reflect on how tragic all of this is considering how happy Rey and Sharon were at their wedding on New Year’s Eve. Faith was excited for her mom and stepdad’s new marriage, but now everything’s in such a sad state.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lola and Elena will discuss all the drama as they sit at Crimson Lights.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will also get a care package from Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) that’s meant to tickle all five senses. It’ll be filled with honeymoon reminders, so it’ll be a sweet gift – though it’ll surely make Abby miss Chance even more.
Abby will get some comfort from Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) as she continues to press on without her husband by her side.
