The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, October 25, tease that Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) testimony will be needed to sink Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) – and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will learn Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s adoptive dad is presumed dead.
At Society, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will have a critical strategy session with Amanda ahead of Sutton’s trial. Although the case against Sutton should be pretty solid, it’d be even stronger if Amanda testified against her grandfather.
If Amanda is willing to take down her own family member on the stand, that’d go a long way toward convincing a jury Sutton belongs in prison.
Part of Amanda may be all for ripping Sutton to shreds since she wants to avenge Richard Nealon’s death.
However, it would also mean opening up Amanda’s wound and letting her emotions pour out in front of everyone. Amanda isn’t used to being that vulnerable and may struggle with that idea.
Plus, Amanda will want to consider how Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) would feel.
Now that Amanda has truly bonded with her mom and half-sister, she won’t want to do anything that might damage those relationships. There’ll be a lot for Amanda to mull over before she makes an agonizing choice later in the week.
In the meantime, Devon will receive word about Chance Chancellor’s (last played by Donny Boaz) building getting hit by a bomb.
Devon will find out that Chance is presumed dead according to Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell), but Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will hold out hope that Chance wasn’t in the building when it blew up.
As Devon consoles Abby, he’ll no doubt think of Dominic and how this little boy may never get an opportunity to meet his adoptive dad.
Devon is Dominic’s biological father, so this will open the door for him to step up as a dad in every way down the road.
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will comfort Abby as well, but she’ll have a hard time accepting this could even be true.
The idea of never seeing Chance again will be far too horrifying.
Even so, Christine’s upcoming intel and pictures should help make this a painful reality. Abby’s set to keel over as she mourns in the coming episodes, so some tough moments are on the way.
Other Y&R spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will get an awkward surprise. She’ll be taken aback over Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arriving home early and may be hurt that he didn’t come see her right away.
Even so, Phyllis will want to concentrate on trying to move past the recent conflict.
Nick and Phyllis will try to talk things out, but any peace they achieve won’t last. This couple might slap a bandage on their problems, but Phyllis and Nick’s deeper issues will remain.
