The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, September 20 Update – Sally’s Got The Mom Gene – Devon’s Dad Confession

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, September 20, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will think she’s got the “mom gene” while Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) makes a dad confession. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will also get an apology, so here’s what viewers can expect on Monday’s Y&R episode.

At the Chancellor mansion, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will stand her ground on moving out despite Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) concerns about Mariah exiling herself from Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.

Dominic will cry right as Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) are departing, so that’ll serve as a tough reminder of what Mariah’s walking away from.

However, Tessa will be Mariah’s rock once they’ve checked in their hotel suite.

Tessa will get that Mariah’s going through something gut-wrenching, but she’ll vow to be there no matter what.

Mariah will confide how she thought of Tessa during her abduction drama and knew she had to get back to her.

Mariah will mention singing Tessa’s songs to “Bowie,” so Tessa will be certain the little guy loved them.

While Tessa’s in the shower, Mariah will think back on some special times with “Bowie” before having a eureka moment.

Mariah will call out to Tessa, who’ll worry something’s wrong until Mariah suggests she’s found a way to heal and move on.

After Abby gets reassurance from Devon, the new mom will talk to Dominic about missing Chance – though she’ll know Dominic can’t miss Chance since he doesn’t know him yet.

However, Abby will understand that Dominic had a bond with Mariah in the womb and will hope there’s a way forward for all of them.

When Abby finds Mariah’s lost bracelet, she’ll assume Mariah must be looking for it. Even so, Abby will think it’s best not to call under the circumstances.

At Society, Sally will pat herself on the back for coming through for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) in the park.

Sally will make a comment implying that she has the “mom gene” and will express how impressed she is with Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) dad skills – especially since Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) isn’t around.

Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will act like Sally isn’t giving Chelsea enough credit as a mother, but she’ll keep the conversation pleasant enough.

Later, Chelsea will vent to Chloe on a video call. They’ll talk about how Adam just had to move ahead with the separation talk and drag Sharon into it to upset Connor.

Nevertheless, Chelsea will feel like she owes Sally a thank you since she came through for Connor and settled the kid down.

Chloe will downplay Sally’s ability to handle kids, but she’ll vow to let Sally know that Chelsea’s grateful.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will give Connor the nudge he needs to apologize to Sharon – though Sharon will insist it’s not necessary.

Sharon will assure Connor that she truly wants what’s best for him and his parents, so Connor will seem like he genuinely understands.

While Adam’s on the patio, Sharon will offer Connor a treat and get him talking about his fears. Connor will worry about his living arrangements and whether he’ll upset one parent when he’s with the other one.

Connor won’t want his parents to be fake nice around him, but Sharon will point out that what really matters is their love for Connor will always be real.

When Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) enters through the patio door, he’ll have a civil conversation with Adam about Connor and Sharon’s desire to help him.

Back with Connor, he’ll get excited over Sally’s arrival and will hope she’s got some other embarrassing tales to tell.

Sally will suggest she’s got dozens more – and Adam will smile a bit at the sight of their growing bond.

Sharon, on the other hand, will seem concerned over how chummy Sally’s getting with Connor.

After Sally, Adam and Connor head to Newman Media together, Sharon will make a confession to Rey.

Sharon will admit she heard from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that Sally tends to go after wealthy men, so she’ll hint that vulnerable and lonely Adam might be next on Sally’s list.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will be a frantic mess over Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) atrial fibrillation, so she’ll unload her concerns on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Nate will insist Amanda won’t lose Naya since the condition is treatable. He’ll give some doctor recommendations and push Amanda to keep asking for help when she needs it.

At the penthouse, Amanda will fill Devon in on how she intends to navigate things with her mom’s new doctor.

Amanda will also confess to making a firm decision on the new law firm, where Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will be Amanda’s junior partner once she takes the bar.

Amanda will also hope Sutton Ames (Jack Landon) faces justice, but she’ll really want to hear more about Devon and how he’s holding up with the Dominic situation.

Devon will come clean about how it’s strange because he won’t be called “Dad.” He’ll act like it’s bad that he wants that, but Amanda will think it’s a natural reaction and will feel like Devon gave his whole heart to this baby boy.

After Devon cracks open some wine, he’ll play some music and call for a celebration.

Devon will think the law firm is reason enough, but he’ll also hope that Amanda will move in with him since she intends to plant roots in Genoa City.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda and Devon’s future looks bright, but obstacles are always just around the corner on the CBS soap!
