The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will wrestle with the ghosts of Christmas past as his old mistakes come back to haunt. Nick will have to do some soul searching as the holidays approach, so look for St. Nick to get a history lesson as he ultimately looks to the future.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) got a standalone episode back at Thanksgiving, but now it’ll be Nick’s turn for a special Y&R show. That’ll probably involve a holiday dream that reminds Nick of some blunders he’s made.
Of course, that means Nick will have to adjust his way of thinking! Nick has a habit of believing he’s always right and everyone else is always wrong. He struggles to compromise and respect other people’s wishes, so those are certainly areas for Nick to work on.
Nick’s been feeling like an outsider in his own family, but that’s mostly his fault. He doesn’t have to agree with the decisions Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his siblings make, but he can’t keep lashing out when they don’t do what he wants.
Nick has to understand that the other Newmans are entitled to live their own lives, even if they make choices that he disapproves of. It’d be better to agree to disagree instead of living in constant Newman turmoil.
Nick recently made peace with Victor – at least enough for them to have a happy holiday together this year. Even so, there’s room for improvement in Nick’s life. It’s time to focus on an inner battle instead of the one Nick’s been having with the Newman clan.
That’s something Nick will begin to see during this special holiday episode, which will involve visits from loved ones and a little Christmas checklist of sorts. Nick will need to conquer his old ghosts and perhaps stop being so judgmental.
It looks like Nick may wake up from this Christmas dream and understand that he’s better off going with the flow!
