The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that some new problems are on the horizon for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Sally’s LA secrets are safe as long as she stays in line – at least that’s what Summer Newman (Hunter King) claims.
Of course, Sally can’t trust Summer and will need to find an insurance policy in the coming episodes.
Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will blow Sally away with a secret Kyle’s been keeping since his reckless days in New York. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will find out something that could blow up Kyle’s world if it got out.
Sooner or later, Summer’s going to discover this dirt – and that means it’ll really rock the boat for “Skyle.”
That’s not going to please Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who knows Summer has been through more than enough ups and downs with Kyle. It’ll infuriate Phyllis when she realizes Summer and Kyle are being targeted by scheming Sally, so she’ll resolve to take care of this threat.
Naturally, Phyllis will have the added motive of protecting Jack from Sally’s twisted web. Phyllis didn’t look pleased by the obvious bond between Jack and Sally when she saw them together at Society. You can bet Phyllis will soon notice that bond has grown even further.
Phyllis got the scoop on Flo Fulton’s (Katrina Bowden) shocking story and could take it upon herself to spill Sally’s LA secrets herself. Nevertheless, it’s going to be awfully hard to turn Jack against Sally at this point.
Jack clearly views Sally as a little wounded bird who deserves a chance to spread her wings and fly. Hearing about Sally’s past mistakes may make Jack even more proud of Sally for leaving her wicked ways behind.
However, Y&R fans can expect Phyllis to keep at it, which could spell trouble for Sally and for Phyllis as well.
We have to acknowledge the romantic history that Phyllis and Jack share. As Phyllis works to sabotage Jack’s budding romance with Sally, she may think Jack is just trying to recapture their “Phack” past in some ways.
Phyllis made an interesting and perhaps telling comment to Summer during a conversation recently.
Summer wondered how Phyllis would’ve handled this Sally situation back when Phyllis was Summer’s age. Phyllis argued that back then, she would’ve been Sally. She basically acted like Sally was a younger version of herself.
Phyllis might run with this idea when it comes to Jack as well. She could try to argue that Jack is falling for some youthful upgrade of Phyllis and contend that Sally can’t compete with the real thing. The new “Red” will pale in comparison from Phyllis’ perspective!
If this is the angle Y&R goes with, it’s easy to see how it might set up a Phyllis and Jack reunion at some point. Regardless, Phyllis may think Jack’s just trying to replace the hole she left in his heart with Sally.
Jack may disagree and act like Phyllis just has a huge ego. There’s the potential for quite a mess as this story heats up.
