The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) may end up searching for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) after a son snatching. Rey may be forced to work with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on a new case if Chelsea ends up bolting with the boy!
Chelsea is fixated on the idea that Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are going to turn Connor against her. Although Chelsea’s trying to blackmail her way to freedom, that won’t solve the issues she’s created in her own mind.
The only thing that’s going to appease Chelsea in this fractured mental state is to keep Connor away from Victor and Adam entirely.
We know Rey will be given a new assignment right around the time Adam grants Chelsea’s wish. Chelsea may get to see Connor and immediately run with him depending on how all this plays out.
Even if Rey’s new case is related to another storyline, there’ll inevitably be other cases brewing. Rey could juggle more than one assignment as several stories start to heat up!
Since Rey’s so close to Chelsea’s case, it would make sense for him to pitch in with the hunt for Chelsea and her son.
If Chelsea flees with Connor as expected, Rey may feel the need to help Adam and track them both down. Rey may hate Adam’s guts, but he knows Connor adores and needs his dad – especially with his mom in such bad shape.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) would be proud to see Rey and Adam uniting with a common goal. Adam and Rey could put their differences aside to focus on making sure Connor returns home safely.
They could also team up to make sure Chelsea lands back at the psychiatric facility to get the treatment she truly needs.
Chelsea is clearly unwell and in need of the therapy she’s refusing to embrace, so maybe there’ll be a turning point that puts her on the right track sooner or later. As other Y&R news becomes available, we’ll pass along updates.
