General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Cain Escapes Foreign Prison – Bloody & Bruised for Port Charles Return

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will escape a foreign prison for his Port Charles return. Poor Drew will be bloody and bruised after enduring horror behind bars, but at least freedom’s on the way! Let’s talk about what we know so far.

If you haven’t heard by now, GH insiders are completely confident in Cameron Mathison playing a Drew Cain recast. The show doesn’t want to confirm this since they’re clearly clinging to some hope of a surprise, but this is a done deal anyway.

Mathison is the new Drew and will be taking over the role last played by Billy Miller. Of course, that means explaining where Drew’s been all this time and why.

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) made sure Drew was presumed dead in a plane crash, but he was plucked from the ocean by someone without anybody in PC knowing he survived.

After that, Drew was stashed in a foreign prison according to the latest script leaks. When we first see Drew, it looks like he’ll be cuffed following one of his many beatings.

Drew certainly hasn’t had an easy life since he was locked away, but he’s just been hanging in there trying to survive.

Cameron Mathison recently posted a picture that backs up this foreign prison stint news. He’s sporting a beard in one of his latest Instagram posts – and there’s a fake gash along his nose along with a slight bruise near one eye.

Drew will definitely be desperate to get out of such a harsh environment and get home to the people he loves, including Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) and even Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Just because Sam and Drew split up doesn’t mean the love between them is gone. In fact, that love is something the show could easily revisit and explore in a new chapter once Drew’s back in town.

However, we have to get Drew in Port Charles again first – and that means he can either escape on his own or perhaps get some help.

Will someone ride to Drew’s rescue or will he simply make a getaway? Regardless, Drew’s escape from this foreign prison will be the crucial catalyst to putting him back in the PC mix.

The show will use a new foreign prison set for a while, but Drew will ultimately score his freedom and return home for some long-awaited reunions.

We’ll keep you posted as other GH updates emerge. General Hospital spoilers say some exciting scenes are on the way once Cameron Mathison makes his debut as a Drew Cain recast.
