The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could end up in Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) orbit after joining Newman Media’s online fashion outlet team. This could easily provide a new romance and career path for Sally, so let’s consider how this might play out.
Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) likes Sally and has tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but her patience may soon wear thin. The last time Lauren caught Sally and Summer scheming against each other, she gave them a firm warning that it couldn’t happen again.
It doesn’t seem like Lauren will tolerate it if she finds out Sally has been plotting to push Summer out of town.
That’s especially true since it directly affects JCV’s future. Summer is the person Lauren chose to run JCV, not Sally. By nudging Summer toward this job in Milan, Sally is undermining Lauren’s wishes and going against her warning not to scheme.
Sooner or later, Lauren’s going to find out that Sally’s been bending over backwards to make sure Summer leaves JCV behind. That’s certainly not going to go over well and could get Sally fired.
Fortunately, Sally has a backup option right there in Genoa City. She could easily land at this new online fashion outlet that Adam has created for Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to run.
Adam wants Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to help Chloe down the road, but it could be quite some time before Chelsea has recovered enough for that to happen – that is if Chelsea will even get on board.
Chelsea is firmly against the idea at this point in the story, but we’ll see if she changes her mind sooner or later.
In the meantime, Sally might be an excellent addition to this fashion team at Newman Media.
Adam claimed he was going to be hands-off when it comes to the fashion platform, but will he be able to keep his hands off Sally? It’d be great if Y&R could let sparks fly and try out a new couple.
Sally might trade her interest in the Abbotts for an interest in the Newmans – particularly Adam since he’s got a reputation as a troublemaker and a town pariah. Adam and Sally could relate to each other’s mistakes as well as the feeling of being permanently judged.
There’d be some exciting storylines if Sally was hired at Newman Media, so stay tuned to see if that’s where things are headed. We’ll pass along updates as other Y&R news becomes available.
