The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) will bring Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) bad news about his son, Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze) the miscarriage causer, on Friday’s Y&R episode, June 25.
These emotional exes will reconnect as Stitch opens up about Max’s declining condition following his failed brain surgery.
Y&R fans may recall that Max suffered from a brain tumor that brought out his sinister side. It led to some disturbing behavior – including when he set a trap that caused Abby to tumble down the stairs and lose her baby.
Of course, we now know scarring from that miscarriage made it so Abby couldn’t carry a baby to term, so Max had a profound impact on Abby’s life.
However, the kid couldn’t help the fact that he was suffering from a brain tumor. It was just a bad situation for all parties involved.
Max underwent brain surgery after his diagnosis, but he battled seizures and lost his motor skills. He’s been living in a long-term care facility – and it looks like there may have been other follow-up surgeries that failed as well.
There’s nothing more that can be done for Max, so his condition is deteriorating and has left his dad distraught.
Stitch will pay Abby a visit soon, so he may have been the one who was lurking outside the Chancellor mansion recently. Perhaps Stitch was trying to find the nerve to go inside and figure out the right words to say.
Stitch may worry that Abby holds a grudge over what Max did, but that’s all in the past and wasn’t his fault. Abby will no doubt assure Stitch that she’s focused on her impending bundle of joy that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is helping bring into the world.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Stitch will have a baby gift to pass along, so Abby will appreciate his thoughtful gesture.
They’ll spend some time exchanging pleasantries and catching up before talk turns to Max being in such bad shape.
Abby will certainly be sorry to hear that and will comfort Stitch as best as she can. Despite the bad news, it’ll warm Abby’s heart to see Stitch again and get these moments of reconnection.
Stitch will have to leave soon after he arrives, but at least he’ll get a chance to stop by and congratulate Abby.
Naturally, the aftermath of this visit could make Abby long for Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) even more!
Abby will enjoy the closeness of her scenes with Stitch, but she’ll really just want her husband back home where he belongs.
