The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) top suspect may be Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan). It looks like a new investigative team will form to close in on Stitch as Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) kidnapper, so let’s talk about how this might play out.
For starters, it appears Y&R writers will finally remember that Kevin used to be Mariah’s bestie once upon a time.
That forgotten friendship will likely come back into play as Rey seeks help at the GCPD, where Kevin also works. There’ll be a good opportunity for Rey and Kevin to crack the case together.
Rey’s been hoping for a lead, so one’s bound to surface eventually. Kevin may help follow up on it since the two of them will settle on a major suspect during the week of August 23-27.
Could Stitch’s lie about his new job at Memorial come to light and raise red flags?
That might convince Kevin and Rey to look into what Stitch has been up to lately – and they may not like what they find! Stitch has been acting incredibly shady, so Rey and Kevin need to follow his trail.
There’s a good chance the investigation will lead straight to Mariah if Kevin and Rey make Stitch their prime suspect in the case.
Rey hasn’t been able to track Mariah’s location, but maybe Kevin could take a stab at it. That could be another angle for this investigative duo to work.
Rey could use all the help he can get – and Kevin will certainly be motivated to figure out what happened to his old pal Mariah. In fact, Kevin may be upset that no one told him about missing Mariah sooner!
Stitch may land on the hot seat before long and have to answer some tough questions about his odd behavior. Perhaps the goal could be rattling Stitch and then following him for a rescue mission.
Mariah needs someone to put the clues together ASAP, so let’s hope Kevin and Rey can at least make some progress.
