The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) decision could land her in hot water. Y&R fans know Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) has supposedly gained a new perspective thanks to his recent heart attack.
Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) has assured Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that the change she’s seen in Ashland is genuine – and Kyle believes her.
However, this certainly isn’t the last we’ve seen of Ashland and his vengeful schemes. Perhaps this really is one big mind game – maybe even one Ashland’s playing on Tara. Ashland can’t be trusted, so that’s something to keep in mind here.
Something else to keep in mind is Sally’s sneaky play for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). In the Thursday, April 29 episode of The Young and the Restless, Sally puts on quite a show by ranting to Tara about her awful husband.
Sally makes it crystal clear that Ashland isn’t half the man Jack is and warns Tara to make Ashland lay off Jabot.
This is part of Sally’s plan to win Jack over, but it may come back to haunt her. If Summer finds out about Sally’s grandstanding, she may blame her rival when Ashland’s vengeful streak returns.
Summer’s always looking for reasons to blame Sally anyway, so she may argue that Sally poked the bear.
Of course, there’s no guarantee Tara will even tell Ashland about Sally’s meltdown. It wouldn’t be wise for Tara to rock the boat at this point. Even so, the truth won’t matter to Summer if Ashland’s destruction starts back up.
Summer will need someone to hold responsible on The Young and the Restless, so she may point the finger at Sally. She might argue that everything was fine until Sally trashed Ashland to his wife! This would give Jack a reason to defend Sally and help them grow closer again.
Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will strike back at Sally during the week of May 3-7. Why will Summer feel the need to retaliate? Sally and Summer called a truce, so this suggests Summer will have a new reason to unleash her fury.
If Jack mentions Sally’s outburst or Sally herself gloats about it, Summer may be livid. Once Ashland inevitably delivers another blow to Jabot and the Abbotts, Summer may think Jack should look no further than Sally as the one who reignited the Lockeness Monster’s rage.
There’s surely a reason why Y&R writers had Sally verbally demolish Ashland to Tara like that. They’re putting Sally in this Ashland story and perhaps making her an easy target for Summer to hit.
Sally will also want to hit Summer and Kyle in the coming weeks, so Summer may regret breaking the truce!
