The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) may kiss Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and make her big move on Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) man. Tara will put on a damsel in distress act and perhaps hope she can steal Summer’s fiancé!
Y&R fans know Tara’s caught in a nasty divorce and custody battle at the moment. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) can be quite a menace when he wants to be, so it’s easy to see why Tara would be distraught and looking for support.
However, there are certain boundaries that have to remain in place – and Tara seems content to ignore those.
When Summer asked Tara if she’d go back to New York after the custody case was over, Tara insisted she’d probably want a fresh start and thought it might be good to stay there in Genoa City.
As Tara explained it’d allow Kyle to be close to Harrison, her tone suggested she knew exactly what she was doing! Tara clearly has her eye on Kyle again and will find it easy to pull him closer as she seeks comfort.
Knowing how soaps roll and seeing how Tara intends to manipulate Kyle, it’s reasonable to assume she’ll take a risk at some point and plant a kiss. Tara might even do it when she knows Summer is watching in hopes that she can blow up their engagement.
Now that Tara is cutting Ashland loose and pushing Kyle to claim paternity, she seems to like the idea of a new family forming.
Tara needs Summer out of the way if that’s going to happen, but Summer doesn’t want to turn her back on Kyle again.
Summer’s made the mistake of running away when they faced problems in the past, but she’s trying not to let fear and insecurities shatter their trust this time. Unfortunately, it may be Tara who takes care of that!
Tara could certainly do some serious damage by going in for a kiss, even if Kyle rejects her and tries to let her down gently. He might argue that it means nothing, but Summer could vehemently disagree.
It’s clear that Summer is sensitive when it comes to Tara anyway, so it’s not going to take much to push Summer too far.
Of course, there’s a chance Kyle could fall for Tara and even land back in bed with her at some point.
For now though, it seems more like a situation where Tara’s going to play the part of the distraught damsel and pull a well-meaning Kyle in her direction.
If a kiss transpires in the midst of Kyle’s attempt to comfort Tara, there’s going to be trouble! As other Y&R news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
