The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, November 4 Recap – Gaines’ Cargo Plane Story – Sutton's Secret Recording

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 4, reveals that Jesse Gaines’ (Jamison Jones) will tell a wild cargo plane story while Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) busts Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) for his secret recording plan.

At the penthouse on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Amanda will nearly slam the door on Sutton when he arrives. Sutton will push Amanda to give him five minutes and will argue that this conversation could change everything.

Sutton will act like it’d be in Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) and Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) best interest if Amanda didn’t testify.

When that doesn’t work, Sutton will wonder if Amanda is really so coldhearted that she’ll send her own grandfather to die in prison.

Amanda won’t think Sutton cares about anyone but himself, so Sutton will insist this is really about turning on him. He’ll think Amanda’s decision to testify is nothing more than a vindictive act.

“So what if it is?!” Amanda will fire back. She’ll think Sutton’s going to get exactly what he deserves.

At the Chancellor mansion, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will snap at everyone to just go and leave her alone. She’ll eventually calm down since she’s just tired and stressed.

After Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) encourages Abby to get some rest upstairs, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will talk to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) alone.

Victor will admit that according to his sources, there’s almost no possibility that Chance Chancellor (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) survived. Devon will feel like this is all so senseless and will lash out since Chance never should’ve taken that mission.

Victor will feel like Chance probably felt he had no choice, but Devon will insist Chance indeed had a choice and made the wrong one. He’ll rant since Abby is now alone and Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor has no father.

When Dominic gets fussy, Devon will soothe him before putting him back in his bassinet. He’ll also promise Victor that he’ll be there for Abby and Dominic anytime.

Abby will come back downstairs after hearing Dominic cry and will admit she’s struggling to sleep.

Soon after, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) will join Abby after getting news on the blast. She’ll suggest Chance’s death didn’t seem real until this moment and will get emotional over holding the baby.

Back at the penthouse, Sutton will suggest it was a mistake to think Amanda would have a shred of compassion.

Sutton will be ready to leave, but Amanda won’t let him pass without emptying his pockets.

Devon will walk in on a confrontation and will offer to stay with Sutton while Amanda calls the cops.

However, Sutton will finally relent and pull out the recording device Amanda assumed was there.

Amanda will acknowledge how Sutton wanted to turn the tables and make it seem like her testimony was only about vindictiveness. She’ll keep the recording and throw Sutton out with Devon backing her up.

Once Sutton is gone, Amanda will be upset with herself for almost letting Sutton get to her. She’ll decide that what Sutton just did might help send him to prison and will call Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to fill him in.

Devon will let Amanda know he’s proud of her before admitting he’s worried about Abby and Dominic.

In Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) office, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will loosen his tie as he struggles to breathe.

Ashland will also drop a glass before Victoria comes in and steadies him. Once Ashland gets some water, he’ll assure Victoria that his latest spell passed.

After Ashland calls Victor for updates on the plan to bring down Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Victoria will express concern for Ashland’s health.

Victoria will think Ashland needs to focus on that instead of all the other drama, but Ashland will promise he knows what battle is most important.

As for the scheme Victor’s cooked up against Billy, Ashland will admit it’s risky since it may not work.

Meanwhile, Gaines will tell Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) quite a tale. He’ll explain how Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) locked him in a storeroom before Victor had his security team drag him out in the middle of the night to a nearby farmhouse.

Gaines will claim that his money, ID and devices were all taken away from him so he couldn’t call for help.

Gaines will suggest he overheard some ominous security team conversations and feared he could be killed, so he found an old boarded up door behind a wine rack and escaped.

Lily will think that seems awfully convenient, but Gaines will insist that’s what happened. He’ll reveal that he walked and hitchhiked to a nearby airfield, where he stowed away on a cargo plane headed to New York.

Gaines will note that he then hopped on a cross-country freight train and got off just outside Chicago before he made his way there.

As for why Gaines didn’t access any of his funds, he’ll argue that it was so he couldn’t be tracked.

Gaines will tell Billy that he came to him because he wants to take them all down – Ashland, Victor and that dutiful son Adam. He’ll suggest he thought that Billy would have some interest in this mission.

While Gaines is in the shower, Billy and Lily will debate whether they buy what Gaines is selling. Lily will think they have to be skeptical, so Billy will agree the story must be vetted if they’re going to use it.

That said, Billy will think they can turn the tables on Newman Media if the story is true and Gaines still has the letter proving Ashland forged his way to a fortune.

Lily will reply that those are some “mighty big ifs,” but Gaines will later confirm he has the letter. He’ll also act like he’s committed to proving his claims are legit.

Since the kids will be staying there, Billy will know he has to get Gaines set up in a hotel instead.

Billy will give Gaines a baseball cap to put on before turning his attention back to Lily. Billy will contend that Lily is the only one in the world he trusts right now – and that includes Victoria.

Billy will promise Lily that he’s going to do everything he can to protect what they’ve built at ChancComm. Once Billy leaves with Gaines, Lily will stand by the door looking uneasy.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will prove he shouldn’t be underestimated soon enough, so stay tuned to Y&R.
