The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, December 28 Recap – Victoria’s Price for Silence – Chance Takes Blame for Custody Mess

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 28, teases that Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) will insist there’s a price for her silence while Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) takes the blame for a custody mess. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to in Tuesday’s exciting episode.

At the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will hear about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) trip to Milan.

Although Phyllis will be bummed about not getting to see Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King) herself, she’ll urge Nick to have a ball and try to be happy for him.

At Society, Victoria will catch Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) drinking at the bar. After Victoria launches a tirade, she’ll grab Billy’s glass before smelling it and realizing it’s apple juice.

Victoria won’t understand why Billy would want her to think the worst of him. She’ll feel like Billy’s trying to make her feel guilty or punish her somehow, but Billy will leave without divulging anything.

At Crimson Lights, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will bump into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and express concern over Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) seeking more time with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

Lily will reflect on getting help to bring her own twins into the world and will know this kind of thing is a sensitive situation.

Nate will worry he should’ve talked to Lily before throwing his two cents in, but he’ll also feel like maybe Abby needs to look at Devon’s perspective.

Lily will feel confident that Devon, Abby and Chance can work it all out eventually.

At the Chancellor mansion, Chance will praise Devon’s skills as a baby whisperer.

Once Abby puts Dominic down for his nap, she’ll rejoin Chance and Devon in the living room. Devon will suggest sitting down since he’ll want to talk to Abby and Chance about something.

To start, Devon will talk about what an incredible experience this has been so far. He’ll be grateful that Chance and Abby have been so open about wanting Dominic to know who he is.

Abby will assure Devon that his bond with Dominic is special and important.

After Devon agrees, he’ll insist that’s why he wanted to discuss amending their agreement.

Devon will open up about things happening that they couldn’t have predicted – like him helping to deliver Dominic and watching him while Abby was off in Spain.

That time together really cemented Devon’s bond with Dominic, so he’ll want to change their arrangement to reflect how he feels now.

Devon will want scheduled visits where Dominic stays over and even has his own room at the penthouse.

Abby will think that sounds like shared custody, so Devon will admit that’s essentially what he’s talking about.

A stunned Abby will wonder if they did something to make Devon feel excluded, but he’ll promise this is strictly about wanting to spend more time with Dominic.

Devon will allude to not knowing what the future holds and will talk about life being unpredictable.

After Devon clarifies that he’s not trying to take the father role away from Chance, he’ll insist he just wants to be somebody who loves and supports Dominic.

“Isn’t that already happening?” Abby will reply. She’ll be upset when Devon suggests putting something in writing, but Chance will get where Devon’s coming from.

After Chance says they’ll talk it over and get back to him, Devon will thank them and take off.

Once Chance is alone with Abby, he’ll note that this is happening because of him. Chance will think his mission is to blame for everything, but Abby will refuse to let her husband guilt-trip himself.

Abby will take some blame for leaving Dominic with Devon instead of one of their moms while she was in Spain.

Chance will argue that he said some things he shouldn’t have to Devon about how overwhelmed he was. He’ll be down about not having the same bond with Dominic that Devon has.

However, Abby will insist Chance and Dominic’s bond will grow in time. She’ll point out that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) also got too attached to the baby before realizing she needed to take a step back.

Abby will think they just have to be patient and figure this out. She’ll be worried about Chance bottling up his feelings and will remind him that he can talk to her about anything.

Abby will end up embracing Chance, but she’ll seem uneasy as she looks over his shoulder.

After Billy updates Lily on how he might’ve botched things at the bar, he’ll decide they need to keep Victoria quiet.

Billy and Lily will visit Victoria’s office to offer an explanation on the scheme, which Victoria will find completely ridiculous.

Victoria will think only Billy would come up with a plan this stupid – to redeem himself by pretending to be a drunken failure!

Lily will defend Billy’s endgame as poetic justice and won’t think Victoria wants Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to come out on top.

Billy will just want Victoria to stay out of his way, but she’ll resent being put in the middle of this mess.

Lily will feel like they should give Victoria a chance to mull things over, but she’ll warn Billy not to hold his breath.

Later, Victoria will show up at Billy and Lily’s place after making a decision. Although Victoria will still think the plan is outrageous and flawed, she’ll decide she’s willing to keep quiet for a price.

Back at Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will happily agree to watch Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) while Nick’s on his trip to Milan.

Sharon will also quiz Nick about his recent dream, but he won’t be keen on opening up. That said, Nick will know Sharon’s always there if he needs to talk.

Over with Phyllis again, she’ll hear from Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is on a last-minute business trip in New York.

Phyllis will fear that Jack’s trying to get away from her and won’t know how to repair their damaged friendship.

Lauren will suggest Phyllis could make it up to Jack on New Year’s Eve. She’ll fish to find out how Phyllis would feel about a NYE kiss, so Phyllis will admit she might want that.

Nevertheless, Phyllis will be confused over how complicated all this is and will be relieved when Jack texts Lauren about being away for a few weeks.

Phyllis will think it’s for the best that Jack won’t be around for New Year’s Eve.

On the coffeehouse patio, Devon will cross paths with Nate and mention his recent push to amend the Dominic agreement.

Devon will be hopeful about Chance and Abby seeing things his way soon.
